I usually eat in savage style in the privacy of my living room or with a modicum of civility in a restaurant....  Building a home gym just to hide ones less than perfect masticating technique is a new one...

I'll get me coat...

I'm having an @AstronautNinja dentist moment, my neighbour who lives behind my house and brings his car down the dirt track between them everyday, without my permission, cut right back my honeysuckle that grows down the back of my back fence for privacy, despite this being 10 feet from his turning into his garden.  At first this was painful, but on reflection, its a job i would have done in 2 weeks time and I now don't have to, so I'm now choosing to view him as a legend, this will also greatly help my blood pressure

Shame you can't put something nasty in there like giant hogweed.

Hopefully your post isn't picked apart as pedanticly as mine 😂

I have a dining/living room. Religiously eat at the dining table all the time.

Of course, after dinner; one always summons the valet, retires to the dressing room, smartly change into a smoking jacket and thence into the conservatory for port and cigars.  Usually, at this stage of the evening, I prefer to replace black tie and cummerbund with cravat and slacks.

Did you think I was a heathen?

Thank goodness for that, I was worried that standards were slipping..

I regret to say that now living in the Republique, its not so easy to retain servants. It's somewhat frowned upon except for the New Aristocracy i.e. politicians. And certainly not for for decayed gentlemen.

Although still change from my sarong into a lounge suit and club tie for dinner.  Port and cigars are only a memory nowadays. I take comfort in a fine oversized Meershaum stuffed with home grown narcotics.

The guys who came back late yesterday afternoon to fill in the trench they dug across the front of my lock up. It was scheduled to be completed next week but I phoned up to complain I couldn't get my bike out, so they turned up late afternoon, finished the work, filled it in and tarred it. I wouldn't have done my ride today if they hadn't done that.

Slacks without socks is just so millennial. The kind of chap who passes the port to the right. Best given a very wide berth.
