Hi @Dammt, that's a very narrowly targeted question. However, someone may have them and offer an opinion.

Strictly for summer use only by the look of them. I prefer to keep my feet warm and dry so won't be using myself.

I have used this type of short summer weight boot and as long as you accept they are what they are there's now't wrong with them. BUT if you're after ultimate protection, warmth and weather protection look elsewhere.

 

One tip if you do like this shorter style of boot, make sure your riding trousers & socks are long enough when in the sat position. Asides from lettering an annoying draught up your leg, a gap of bare leg looks really naff!

Personally, I wouldn't have them. I've always believed your boot should end mid-shin, as this gives you the most of chance of breaking your leg instead of wrecking your ankle or your knee. Also, I'm the kind of person whose laces always come undone, and I wouldn't want a loose lace getting tangled in the chain. Not a issue if you have a shaft drive, I guess.
