nman1 Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Dave, that Rutland run is on the 12th not next Saturday as I told you.
Guest Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Ok, cheers nman. Won't be able to do the 12th as have a stag do to attend.Sat on a Gixxer 750 at weekend. Its my next bike. No arguing now. Its so comfy compared to the R6 or CBRR600, plus it has more grunt!I'm starting to save now....well, after i've changed the brake lines, levers and tyres on the current bike. I think it may well become my weekend fair weather bike.
Ash Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 copy, only joking anyone for the marina tonight?
Jive Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 May get there tonight, depends if I get back in time from Cambridge

Seabluegal Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 Hello all!I am new to this forum, but have been going to Hartford for years now, and been riding since I was 18.This Tuesday it was a lonely show at Hartford, only me, my dad, Laura, Ash and a few others... does this mean that winter is closing in? Jayne
nman1 Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 Hi JayneI`ll be there next week, providing it`s not raining. And no i`m not a fine weather rider, i just don`t see the point in setting out in the rain if I don`t need to. I see you know Ash too.
Seabluegal Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 HeyI'm sure I have probably seen you at Hartford. Yes, I know Ash!This Tuesday night is Classic Car and Bike Night at Ashby Folville in Leicestershire, so a few of us are heading down there. It's a fantastic night out - hundreds of bikes and classic cars, mostly all on the cricket pitch at Ashby, but basically parked everywhere. There's a pub over the road which usually has a BBQ going. It's a great night. Particularly if it's sunny... if it's damp it does get a bit messy with everyone mainly parking on the field...Jayne
lau Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 Last one aswell for Ashby hey! Then its Hartford...all through winter.Do many of you go from October onwards?
Guest Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 If there's enough interest we go probably up until the clock change and then maybe a few tuesdays, but tend to stick to daytime rides due to the darkness! however...if there are more people, then lack of sunlight wont stop us!
lau Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 Brill I'm hoping to go for as long as possible...the heated grips should help!Lau
Guest Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 isn't that cheating? the warming grub there is good enough for me be good to meet some more locals, will try to make it down on tuesdayD
Seabluegal Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 I think I need to get myself some heated grips... if it's a cold night, en route back from Hartford, I can barely feel my fingers by the time I get home...But it's still summer ... isn't it?
lau Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 Good call, they're so nice when its a little nippy. They didn't really do too much last week though in the monsoon...Lau
Ash Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 I go all year round, not usually many down thier after Sept but i still like to get out on the bike
nman1 Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 I guess around 8.00ish Martin. Must remeber to change over to clear visor before I go tonight, got eye full of flies last time.
Jive Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 May see you there, taking the bike to work to wash & polish then if I get the go from work
nman1 Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Imagine doing mine while you`re at it Martin and hopefully it will all come up nice and sparkly.
Guest Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 I'll be taking my bike apart this evening as it keeps cutting out....had a look at the gixxer again this morning
nman1 Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Go on Dave, you know you wanna. Good choice, providing of course it`s BLACK
Guest Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 I know I wanna too! 0% is tempting me quite a lot.It would definitely have to be black, I'm not a fan of the blue/white ones
nman1 Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Would they take yours for a trade in. If so go for it mate. If your job is secure and you don`t mind about £175-£200 comittment for 3 years, you may as well. The grin factor should last that long
