  2. I have ridden with one in the past and they can be a pain if they are full and heavy! I dont do anything to warrant a back pack on the bike I have a car for the shit I do have some soft sports panniers though and have had them for about 6 years and in two weeks it will be the second time I will have used them although last time I used them I couldn't even tell they where on the bike but lets see what they are like this time round on teh german roads with no limits

  9. thats surface charge for you
  10. Now here's the thing I was getting at if your battery was flat with not a lot of light but once jumped the bike ran fine with good light output from the lights then it sounds like your charging system is fine and its just a shafted battery
  11. Also was the headlights working when you was riding it earlier?
  12. If you can turn the headlights off it will help a little Battery sounds stuffed to me
  13. When you have charged a battery they will read 12v for a bit its called surface charge it soon drops off You also need to try it under load too ie on the bike with starter pressed if it drops below 10v while tryingvto start its shafted
  14. No don't charge it off a car it can kill all sorts as there's too many amps you can jump it off a car without the engine running

dont use a wire brush either! If you catch the seals in the chain you will pull them apart and it will have a shorter lifespan although it could already be buggered
