    non starter

try with a fully charged battery as the batteries are dead
  2. I would do as eab says and weld it back on The mot won't matter they probably won't even look at it!
  3. they look a better bet for the road
  4. And if yet get another frame yet will need the v5 for it as swapping frames is a right headache and will possibly need re registering the best way is to get a frame with v5 and swap the bits to the new frame under the v5 that came with the frame
  5. If its been written off as a cat B then you can't repair it this means you must scrap it If you repaired it the bike wouldn't be legal full stop
  6. LOL,Can I point you back to my first reply? and can I point you to my last post about modifying!! I see the gains from a K&N due to what I have done to my bike the stock paper one is fine for a standard bike but even fitting a set of race cans with a better filter makes a really big improvement on mine its a waste of time with just a better filter as the cans then strangle it as does the air box hence why I have took all the flapper valve out of mine and opened it up
  7. with the standard set up on the TL there is no gains to be had with a K&N over the standard paper filter its been tried and tested back to back on a dyno you only see real gains when you start modifying thats why I run a K&N
  8. totally agree there I wasn't having a pop its just a bit of a broad sweeping statement saying K&N's are crap when in reality its just the ones which the OP is thinking of posting
  9. thats a new one on me!! they can last up to 50k before they need cleaning http://www.knfilters.co.uk/filtercharger.aspx I've used K&N's for years with no problems at all the problem how can a aftermarket oil filter clog up more then a paper one?? they are both exposed to the same amount of dirt so in reality they would collect the same amount unless the K&N mysteriously attracts more? my opinion is to fit an air box and whatever filter you like in the air box what your thinking of doing is fitting K&N pod filters which are crap the air box is their for a reason and you would run in to all sorts of running issues without it as it would need jetting to suit and all sorts
  10. Forget everything everyone has said you need to findnout the code first otherwise your pissing in the wind It might be a sensor going down or a loose side stand switch Trust me I know these injection systems inside out as I have owned a Suzuki injected bike for 7 years ok its not the same bike but its the same system

    brake pads

spanner in the works time a lot of the TL guys wont touch brembo as they are shit there is far better out there
  12. Stu

    brake pads

  13. that wont bring the FI light on the FI indicates a problem with the fuel injection system
  14. arent they practically the same engine ??
  15. check out our new site sponsor http://www.mototo.com/?ref=20 enter tmf2013 at check out and you get 5% off
  16. here ya go this will help for dealer mode and codes http://www.svrider.com/forum/showthread.php?t=110382 its almost the same as mine
  17. No they aren't stored in the ECU....well they are until you turn the ignition off then they disappear so when it does it you need to put it in dealer mode which on the sv I dont know how to do YET on mine there is a multi plug under the seat and you just put a bit of wire between the two pins and thats it its in dealer mode
  18. they are lock nuts on the bandit and the middle ones can be a pain in the arse to get to apparently
  19. What year is the bike? If its carbs then it could be carb icing but then that wouldn't explain the fi light which suggests it fuel injected You should have a diagnostic plug somewhere that you can short out to read the error code it will show on the dash but you need to do it when fi comes on without turning the bike off
  20. Very easy if yet know what your doing it all depends on you really
  21. Stu

    mapping

that is rather cheap so have you got a power commander fitted? if not then the remap will be through a yosh box and you will have to get that taken out if you fit a power commander
  22. hopefully we wont have any rain
  23. Stu

    Bandit RPM

or carbs out of balance wrong jets in the carbs air leak etc etc set the idle after a good ride to see if it helps if not then start with the easy stuff check to make sure the inlet rubbers arent sucking in air then balance the carbs up
  24. No could be someone wanting a lot of answers and opinions
  25. I think mojobanana has had hers done! well I know for sure one member has there is a thread on it somewhere
