Ok, after comparing various part numbers Honda/OEM I got a rectifier and battery.
On idle the voltage at the battery hovers around 14.5v, on reving and at 5000rpm it hovers between 14.7v and 14.9v.
The voltage at the bulb hovers around 13v. (with the old rec it was 14.4v)
All seems reasonable?
all spot on

vacuum pipe attached to the fuel tap properly from when you removed the tank ?
-
said it was the battery
glad you sorted it

another for the springs here
if i remember rightly they are the same springs used on the TL and they are a must change when a clutch goes in on a TL
might have something to do with all that torque
also get HD ones
if your going to do a job do it properley
-
prob the starter switch
might be worth taking it apart for a clean just on the safe side then you know its done and if it happens again it wont be that
also stick some electrical grease in there not wd40 as wd40 dries out and chases grease off
-
yes
just gently pull the lever right at the end and you will feel the free play
-
you should have around 3-5mm of play before you feel resistance
-
there should be an adjuster at the lever that you turn out to take up the slack that will bring the biting point closer to the bar
-
first of all try adjusting the clutch cable properly and changing the oil in the gearbox i think these have a separate oil for the gearbox
if no joy with that then i think its time to take the clutch apart and inspect it
i recon the clutch basket will be knotched and causing the clutch plates to stick and not disengage properly
-
its still bloody cold and shitty
-
does it fit properly ?
have you tried others on ?
you might get a better fitting lid
-
sod the colour get one that fits right!!
-
if its the metal ring gaskets that go in the engine block where the pipes slot in then try tapping them home with a suitibly sized socket
-

when you are putting your gloves on are you leaving the choke on too ?
its safe to leave the bike running when first started with the choke on at around 1500 - 2000 rpm
