  1. i got an autocom one after getting it at the NEC bike show, tested it in the house and its brilliant.

all you need is another mic and speakers in another helmet then just plug the rest in that you already have...ideal if you got a few different lids

my bro also has a autocom system and hes got no complaints, says he was sat at 130mph in germany and chatting to his girlfriend on the back was no problem

i think THAT is the problem with them

  2. When the weather gets better I have a ride planned that I wanna do. I used to work round North Yorkshire and I know allot of back roads.

    Meet at Squires.

Head to Helmsley via York, Haxby and the B1257.

From there head to Rosedale Abbey in the lower edge of the moors. Features a nice 1-in-3 hil called Rosedale Chimney from Kirkbymoorside. There's a nice pub here too.

Humpback bridge on the way out... 8-)

From there through Pickering to Thornton-Le-Dale and follow the signs for Dalby Forest (£2 for bikes) and do the Dalby Forest Drive. Cafe here too. Very quiet and remote.

Head out to Whitby as eventually we get to the coast road.

Plan then is to head back from Whitby through Scarborough and Brid, home on the A166.

    im up for that 8-)

im guessing you have a standard bike then ? heading to helmsley

  3. they are worth it but you are best to get a more free flowing can and set up on a dyno as the fueling will need adjusting

is your bike fuel injected or carb ?

if its carb theres not many decent tuners into them now so is hard to get a decent tuner but most places will be able to do it though if they cant or dont want to they will give you silly prices expect to pay anywhere from £150 - £250

if its fuel injected you will need a power commander to adjust the fueling and they are £250 ish then setting up on the dyno too another £150 ish but well worth it :)

  4. i would go for an alarm last

two ground anchors one front one back two expensive short chains

the shorter the better harder for theives to move around to try and cut

try and get the chain through the frame and not just the wheels a chain though the wheel means they just remove the wheels and place bike in back of van

    alarms....

personally just get a cheap self fit one as the amount you pay for a decent one doesnt really give you enough discount on insurance to warrant it and at the end of the day a decent alarm going off in the back of a van is the same as a cheap one going off in the back of a van

  5. I've got some SP2s (I think, they look pretty much the same as those anyway) and they're great. Chilly in the winter though and I couldn't get any inserts underneath them so I bought some separate winter gloves.

    chilly ??? winter??? inserts????

    sorry youve lost me :?

fair weather rider and proud

    ps techno

  6. sorry to correct you Tim but you arent right on that.

The law is a bit weird. The visor has to conform to regulations but anything else doesnt. So if you have an MX lid you can have black iridium goggles and wear them at midnight and its still not an offense. Its not an offense to wear dark glasses on a bike or in the car at night either.

Where you would come unstuck is if you had an accident as these could be brought up as contributory factors...you could end up getting done for due care or even dangerous driving.

    just to add to this

it is illegal to wear sunglasses with the visor lifted up

as sunglasses arent CE approved eye wear :) perfectly legal with the visor down :?
