Do it anyway, you can always sue them for false adverstising.
no you cant they are "show" plates
not for the road
they know how to cover their ass
-
ps you might be able to squeeze in to get the plugs out without taking the tank off
the two inner ones will be the hardest like on the bandit 600
-
yup it has 4 plugs
you see where the radiator is ? look behind the radiator between the frame rails and you will see the plug leads going in to the top of the engine pull these out and the plugs are in there
only take one plug out at a time check and replace the lead then move to the next

but before you do that
does the bike turn over ? or do you have to connect it to the car for it to turn over ?
if the battery isnt charging you need to be looking at different things
ps pop in newbies and tell us a bit about yourself
-
I know what you mean when the battery is flat you get a single click each time you hit the starter. Now when you hold the starter it literally clicks 10 times a second, like a clicking machine gun.
you dont get a single click you get the relay clicking constantly
-
battery could be fuffed
its very rare its the starter relay
you got a car and some jump leads ? if so conect up to car and try and start it DO NOT START THE CAR
that will rule out the battery
-
It can't be as simple as attaching the + wire to the + terminal and the - wire to the - terminal can it?
yes as simple as that
-
flat battery
its your starter relay that is clicking
-
if you are going to connect it to the car make sure you dont start the car up
-
dont apologise mate
you only mentioned it and a few poeple have started to take an interest so really it deserves its own post
-
did it only start in the winter ? could be carb icing up
they are carb arent they and not injection ???
and bex sort your bloody avatar
-
anything over 97db i think
or if you have a can with not for road use written on it
i think mines about 197db
-
You get fined for loud pipes?
yup
-
My freind had exactly the same problem with his CBR after it had been stood and it was a faulty kill switch.....Just a suggestion you never know, Pluss if it is, It's an easy fix
Ragger's xxx
it wouldnt try and fire though
-
stopping every now and then helps the petrol in the exhaust evaporate and stop it back firing when it does fire too
-
if you want
it does sound as if its just crappy fuel and if its trying to fire it should eventually
ive known some bikes to almost kill the battery doing this but they evntually start
-
stelmer
can you start a new thread for this ride out if you dont mind ?
you may get a fair few people intersted
-
have you tried till the battery has gone flat ?
-
waste of time
you break the law expect to be caught at some point and pay the price
trying to evade the law is a far more seriouse crime
i have loud pipes on my bike and im expecting to be pulled at some point and get a £30 fine and rectification notice i will deal with that when it happens and not complain
i know im breaking the law and expect to pay the price when caught
-
does just sound like crappy fuel in the lines
-
Should be interesting aye
if it makes it out the garage
-
Not really.... just wish people put as much effort into organising stuff as they do moaning...
lol you cant talk vix, cant remember the last time i saw you on a bike :P
errrr her bikes off the road and has been for a while
why dont you fix it for her zippy
-
Looking forward to trying them out again tomorrow
go steady in this weather
top job well done
-
if your not painting it dont worry about the paint codes as paint codes very depending on where the painter gets the paint from
will only cost you about £60 to get the seat pod painted up
-
craig are you thinking of doing it yourself ?
What to do with the old helmet?
