Think what he is trying to say is check your oil, you might have seezed it, you may be lucky, if motor still turns over then you "might" get away with it thats what i was getting at

cheers nigel i know any cooler will fit but its making it fit and at £120 for a cooler my bro doesnt want to be spending any more and it needs to be fitted as soon as it arrives as its his only mode of transport

has it got tight spots ? did you tighten it to the tightest part of the chain then when you looked this morning it was on the slackest part ?

as others have said check connections wobble wires also have a look for wires that could have worn through by rubbing on the frame or something i had one like that and water was getting in and corroded the wire the lights worked fine on low beam but put it on high beam and all lights went out
