    Oil question

if the bike has a fair few miles on it go for any semi synthetic as fully synthetic will get past the rings and get proper bike oil as car oil is no good for the clutch also any minaral bike oil will be ok some of the guys on another site i go on use the cheapest oil in there TL's and some have over 80,000 miles on the clock they just change it more frequent and they have no probs

it will be safer to replace loom most alarms have just a few points in the wiring loom where they connect they will have power obviously. and atleast two immobilisation circuits which will be four wires as it breaks a circuit then goes through the alarm then back to the loom further along and makes the circuit again you you get that

  10. not keen on whitby but im game anything for a decent ride

  12. yeah just put it on centre stand and get the front wheel off the deck some how as for a charger go bloody buy one they are only about £20 for a oxford one failing that take it off and keep it in the house
  13. worst thing you can do if you are storing it dont start it until you are going to go out for a ride on it if you just start it once a week and let it tick over it will never warm up properly and causes condensation in all parts of the engine and it mixes with the oil

it will have been the fuel in the carbs that had gone off it eventually starts usually after charging battery once you flatten it
  18. it will be a carbed bike not injected could be a breather split or not connected also could be fuel pump when you switch the ignition on does the fuel pump prime up (do you hear a whine from the tank) if so how long does it prime for ? 2 or 3 seconds or longer ?

    Service parts

oil filter - a k&n oil filter they are around the same price air filter - get a k&n, pipercross or bmc they will last forever then engine oil - any semi synthetic not fully as fully will get past the rings and stuff like that transmission oil - not needed as the engine oil lubes the gear box clutch fluid - wont need this as its a cable clutch you will need plugs too standard NGK's will be fine Stu
  24. theres a clue in the title first "BIKE" on the scene means your going to have to go and buy a bike too only joking
