    Milking

I was kind of hoping this would be a video set up to show just how incredibly f***ing stupid people are and will do anything to get onto youtube. After the interview with the creators though it just seems like a bloody stupid idea that the idiots have taken too far again.
  2. I'll just drop this in here for you guys - It's a great little bible to keep referencing if youre ever unsure and worth a read if you're interested in the health and fitness thing - It helped me get started on the right tracks a few years ago. http://liamrosen.com/fitness.html
  3. Asics are a good brand but if they dont work with your feet then theres no point getting them. go to a running shop and get gait analysis done - this isnt the cheapest option, but if you want to look after your feet its the best and safest way to go. I see youre already ready to spend £85 so you can get something from a running shop for the same money quite easily. If you're not going to be running on trails, dont buy trail trainers. Sort of same principal as buying a landrover for inner city commuting (hint: thats a silly idea, landrovers are for rural and farm use) I have a pair of Saucony trainers from a running shop that were picked out for how i run and they do make a massive difference its so much easier to run in them and much like ABR I reduced my 1.5mile time for the army by a huge amount (unfortunately the army provide you with some god awful outdoor running shoes and wont let you use anything else unless you have a doctors note). feel free to PM me if you have any other questions mate
  4. I actually thought he was one of the better bond villains that there has been, not your usual but still very good. What made you think he was bad?
  5. bit more than a "60 mile round trip" i think mate. Still fair play if youre going to do it. I need to sort my life out and save up and plan for something like this. The only thing that seems to change my perception of the time of year is the light levels. I keep the same hobbies and methods all year round i dont let the weather get in the way (though im actually struggling to remember the last time it rained round here - i havnt gotten wet on the bike in quite a while now). I never watch TV anymore, i just pirate any interesting series in full once theyve finished and get through them all at once. (like im doing with the walking dead now) Dont get me started on X-factor. When i become a contract killer or mercenary - I wont even be taking a payment to take out whoever started that show and all its inbred offspring.
  6. perhaps that shows my (young) age then - the only spies I know are the modern day ones who arent really spies in the classic sense at all anymore - I forgot that Fleming wrote most of the books a long time ago!
  7. I just bought some Richa Baltic gloves - going off the review on here from someone and also they get tons of good reviews everywhere else. managed to get them for £44 on ebay - almost £20 less than retail - very impressed so far. not too bulky for how much insulation theyve got and so far have kept my hands warm. not tried in the wet yet but i have faith in them.
  8. I'm a big reader but ive never actually read a bond book. When i finish lord of the rings later this week I think ill have a look round for skyfall and then some of the "classics" like goldeneye. I do think that pierce brosnan and sean connery and roger moore played the role well, and they made some excellent films, but I feel that daniel craig is a more "true to life" bond. If there really was a bloke working for mi6 who had to sneak into a country kill a load of people and get out again, it would be an ex SAS bloke with a serious history, not some suave suited and booted oxford uni graduate. I think craig is a truer reflection of a Bond thats all.

    Skyfall

Suprised this hasnt popped up yet. Anyone been to see it? I have - I loved it. A great mix of action and storyline how a bond film should be really. Daniel craig is definitely my favourite bond though. What are everyones thoughts on it?
  10. pretty unanimous, thanks guys. Where's the best place to get it from?
  11. So my biking trousers (textile material and waterproof) are starting to whiff a bit after quite a long while of continuous use. It says to wash at 30, do not iron, do not tumbledry but i was wondering about the waterproofing remaining intact after washing. Should i reproof them after ive washed? (this would get expensive i imagine) on a semi related note - the trousers are great apart from theres a small leak in the crotch of the trousers but only really noticeable in a proper hurricane downpour for more than 15 minutes. Is this somethign that reproofing might fix, or is it a problem with the waterproof seam stitching on the trousers do you think?
  12. yes my ride to work is into the rising sun, and the ride home is into the setting sun, so its not much fun either way! especially with wet roads reflecting everything too! i think im gonna get one when ive saved up a few pennies now, theyre easy enough to change back and forth so shouldnt be much of a problem.
  13. slightly off topic here, but does firing a right hand biased rifle left handed mean the ejection port puts the hot brass into your face? How do you cope with this? I learnt on the SA80, if you shoot left handed with that the cocking handle hits your chin so hard it shatters it, then just to add insult to injury, the ejected brass will probably jump down your throat as you shout your profanity of choice.
  14. no, ofcourse i wouldnt drive in sunglasses at night, but especially with the shorter days rolling in now, it wouldnt be too hard to be caught out with traffic/distractions/other plans meaning that you actually stay out longer than intended and end up riding in less light. Ive had a quick look for visors - so far all of them say "not UK road legal" underneath them. Its such a shame we live in such a place where we cant be trusted to use common sense ourselves and must have it enforced by law. anyone know any good visor specific online retailers or anything like that? (its for an AGV sv-s4 lid) where i could look around?
  15. if a policeman stops me with it, whats the worst case scenario/harshest punishment he can lay on me for riding with it?
  16. you say that they may be illegal as if its a certainty - is there absolutely no leeway with the law (at least in text) about iridium visors? I actually have a flip down sun visor in my helmet - i just want the coloured one to look cooler
  17. So I was flicking through a box of stuff and found my helmet user guide and other related crap, and saw their range of iridium visors that they sell. Im not normally one to buy useless cosmetic stuff, but a silver iridium visor would go really well with both helmet and bike, so wanted to get one. So google tells me that visors are legal as long as they allow 50% of light to get through, or something along those lines - is this true? Will the police pull me for having the visor and want to test it every time they see it even if it is legal? are there any other related drawbacks to iridium/tinted visors? (can you realistically ride at night with an iridium one?) Thanks guys!
  18. Find out where they live and put a brick through their window, when the police go round to take a report they may just come across a load of stolen goods... if they dont call the police then they have to spend the money they got from fencing stolen goods on a new window. MMA isnt all that effective against 9 blokes but i wont say its a bad idea to learn. I'm quite confident when it comes to fighting people (not because i go out looking for brawls, but from martial arts practice) but if they have a knife i would question going up against them even if i had a baseball bat. sometimes its better just to train getting your 100m sprint time down as quick as you can. possibly practice obstacle courses to simulate vaulting fences to get away from the pricks. by all means though, if you ever get one on their own and theres no one around....
  19. http://www.rainymood.com/ this is what i use. I believe they change it from time to time too. its just a looping stream though, really helps me relax if reading doesnt send me to sleep.

    ADSC

good luck! you should breeze it, ADSC is easy!
  21. think they might be a bit big for me actually, im normally a 30 waist but every company sizes differently! the best i could do is paypal you some money for postage though as you're a little far away for me!
  22. can you post up the reg plate for us and i'll pass the word around and keep an eye out.
  23. The best way to look after your bike is to use all the gears properly. neglecting to use 1, 2 and 3 will create problems further down the line. revving the nuts off it and pulling away in 4th or 5th is not healthy for the bike at all. it probably costs less petrol and wear and tear to pull away in first and change up normally than it does to sit there screaming and slipping the clutch.
  24. I know what you mean, and I imagine its because youre trying to up your avg MPG. As far as damagin the bike, im not too sure about that, someone else with some more knowledge will have to answer that. But i prefer to keep it in a fairly low gear around town/city because it gives you the extra "get out of the shit, quick" option. if you twist the throttle in 5th when someones drifting towards you because theyre half asleep on their morning commute, youre not gonna move fast enough. slam it in 2nd or 3rd and theres a good chance youll get ahead of them and out of danger. keeping the revs up gives you extra balance as well, help keeps the bike upright.

    Bored...

Nogin, I find this highly amusing as your sig has one of my favourite quotes in it. "there is no such thing as bad weather, only wrong clothing" did you forget you had that there? ^^
