  1. Welcome to the forum Paul
  2. Oops
  3. Ah right, jeez that puts it into perspective. He gets a phenomenal amount of respect in the YouTube comments, and very much deserved too. Throwing yourself down a mountain with a machine underneath you as fast as you can, having never taken the route, really takes some balls.
  4. That's fantastic! I thought it was @Fiddlesticks for a moment. Was he faster than a mountain bike? I missed that bit.
  5. Absolutely brilliant. Mentally, I rode every part of your excellent descriptive post, but physically, I wouldn't even think about it. Thanks for sharing.
  6. What a machine, it's just so different to every Japanese bike I've had apart. It even seems to have character when it's stripped down. It's going to look incredible with all the cleaning. That battery though, looks like it's from my tractor
  7. At least it'll be the start of summer when you return.
  8. Welcome to the forum @Andy 66 Can't believe you've been working on bikes for 105 years
  9. Flippin' 'eck @Fozzie, sounds like another holiday to Malaysia (?) is needed. Good luck with the work trip next week.
  10. Welcome back biking @Falcon 269, and welcome to the forum.
  11. @bonio We know you're desperate to get that CRF250X......
  12. Something like this is easy to keep under the seat. The advantage of a disc lock is, it offers good security, without being a big lump to carry around. This means you're also more likely to use it. Don't be put off by the name, they're not huge, they're just strong. Oxford Monster disc lock
  13. I found that pushing the pistons right into the calliper, made them easier to remove (much easier). I reckon it's because whilst halfway out, they're at ever such a slight angle, and pushing them in, not only gets them moving, but levels them too.
  14. Steady, but positive progress. Do you have something to remove caliper pistons?
  15. I hadn't noticed the T-shirt until @bonio pointed it out, that's just brilliant.
  16. That's great to hear it went well, it's even better to hear it went very well
  17. @Fiddlesticks Those last pictures you've just put up are great, love the cool dude posing. Couldn't help noticing that, outside Joe Porters, your cape was hitched up on the wall
  18. I treated myself
  19. Would way up the cost of replacing the visor and Pinlock, then compare it with the cost of buying a helmet with a drop down internal sun visor. I have three helmets, two were £100, the other was £135, all three have drop down sun visors. Unless of course you're using a helmet that cost a few hundred quid. In that case I would opt for clear only, even if the light smoke is legal (is it daytime only?) and you had an accident at night, you could guarantee the tinted visor would get the blame and make insure void etc etc. Look at this for a bargain, and a highly rated helmet https://www.helmetcity.co.uk/nolan-n100-5-hilltop-black-red-050/ It's £99, and has a drop down sun visor. Most visor and Pinlock combo's are going to cost you roughly £50 at least.
  20. Happy birthday Ray, have a great day
  21. @ChriSixFiftyR That's a darned smart machine, great colour.
