  1. Just booked myself in to test ride the new suzuki up at alston cafe. Wish more brands would do this as you test something from the city centre for 1 hr and you are just getting to the good roads before you need to turn back! There is a small chance the honda will become track only of i can fit another bike into the stable
  2. After the first slide lol. I hate not riding on the days we get nice weather, typical that its been really nice up here this weekend and ive been in the office rushing out a big contract. If i could do enough trackdays i would change it to track fairings but we are lucky in north east with largely empty roads great for riding. Going to do croft again on 25th or 28th depending on weather and possibly oulton in august as couple people i know are heading down.

  4. Bicycle track pump then hand pressure guage thing to set pressure accurately.
  5. I've been thinking about changing the blade for a zx10 anyways.
  6. Selling the daily driver. Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/172758364033
  7. Tell him to swivel. Putting you down when you are doing something you enjoy and have passion for. Kick him in the nuts.
  8. We have some of the best roads up here Im always suprised by the amount of foreign motorcyclists but it makes sense as its worth traveling for.
  9. When i had my suspension setup done the guy advised 32/36 for lighter bikes.
  10. Cant you loosen the chain adjusters any further? Alot of bikes chains tighten up once axle is torqued as your nipping the subframe together.

    Election

Politics is a right load of pish.
  12. Hope hillier gets a podium.
  13. Have honda released any info on guys sp2 problems? Looked like he had lost all confidence in it from that interview. I hope he doesnt get back on it for the rest of this TT.
  14. Lol should design a universal dashboard mat with a print of all different tickets, then randomly place the valid one in the middle at the back where its hardest to reach from the outside.
  15. Just made myself look a right cock. Had to go into office to prepare for a work trip later in the week. Finished, packed up and jumped on the fz6. Stopped half way down the hill as realised i had forgotten to clip the straps on my backpack. Stepped off bike, bike rolls forward, bumps off side stand and heading straight towards a parked car. Pulled it over and 'rested' it on my leg, must have been at about 30deg angle, just filled with fuel so full weight lol. Managed to bump it back upright but im now with the front wheel half a foot from this parked car, facing down a steep hill. Oh and all directly outside a lovely new outdoor drinking establishment full of people on the pop
  16. Ive said it before but i think tests should be filmed with head cams so that the examiner can show you what went wrong. Not only is it evidence of what they are failing you for but it can also be used in the debrief along with constructive criticism to help the person being tested. It should also stop any false claims from examiners if this is something they practice.
  17. You will love it and soon realise its nothing to be nervous about. Enjoy and report back on how it went!
  18. I think with my other bike being fairly loud i havent yet encountered any problems filtering on it whereas the new bike is so quiet im like a ninja sneaking through lol. My spidey senses are waking up and will hopefully keep me safe! Thanks for the help guys, loving this new side of biking although its only been 2 days
  19. Cheers tango, saved me £70 there! Ordered the black one.
  20. Tell you what this commuting lark is more dangerous than belting around the countryside. 3 times this morning people pulled out on me, thats more than in the last year of riding the blade! Found some revit textile pants i was using when i done my test a few years ago, just need some boots and possibly a helmet and gloves too as im going to end up ruining these ones using them daily. Backpack wise is kriega still the way to go?
  21. Thanks Hoggfather Found a held textile jacket at a steal of a price so got that coming even though its a bit jazzier than i would like. Will have a look for pants and overtrousers.
  22. When looking at textiles are there specific water/shower proof ones or are they all generally ok in wet weather? Im just after some budget kit for the 10 mile commute all black if possible, no stripes or colours or logos.
