  1. The very unfortunate downside of keyless entry
  2. Similar to not having to be able to our run a lion, just the other bloke, bike security is mainly not being the easy target / more of a ball ache than they can be bothered with for in many cases is parts or a nights fun.
  3. Unfortunately since searching for various bike security items Instagram now shows me the accounts of the thieving little ar*eholes stealing bikes daily. It seems the vast majority that get stolen weren't chained to the ground. Obviously high level bikes would attract the guys not fazed by such devices but the estate kids are clearly able to steal / hot wire pretty much anything almost immediately. It would appear approaches such as HISS are close to pointless due to so much of the harness being so easily accessible. This is based on the videos I'm now shown daily rather than any technical knowledge mind you.
  4. What a man. Beer in bed
  5. I very nearly bought a HD as a second first bike, awesome thing next to the bike I was viewing
  6. Wouldn't renting a van be an easy option? Or have I missed something?
  7. It's full of steak bakes from greggs
  8. Some guy on insta has just done some off road tour on a sports bike with half knobblies and panniers on. Amazing what bikes can do despite not being their intended build
  9. I'd be going for the tricked up one. Post some pics let the community vote
  10. Never even occoured to me that they'd work in both directions
  11. All these old folk singing poems about logs in my day we were lucky to even have a dried dinosaur turd to burn, you don't know how good you've got it having actual wood for your fire. I remember being told as a kid to stare at the sun and to use my imagination rather than waste money on a fire. Please note this is a joke before someone gets their grumpy pants on and rides in on their white horse of Internet righteousness.
  12. You can't ride a house nor a plate of food
  13. Asking for a chimney fire is that dude. Freshly felled wood takes 2 years minimum to be suitably dry.
  14. Mine has a partial side zip which is actually quite a nice idea for the reason you mention. Seems decent, feels like it'll do the job.
  15. Bought an Oxford "Storm collar" neck tube, RST wind blocker under jacket and trousers along with a set of Rukka thermals. Will see how this combo goes alongside my normal bits.
  16. This forum would do well with a dose of chill sometimes! 0 - serious in about 3 seconds
  17. Did you get his reg etc?
  18. At 18 insurance will have your pants down for any mods
  19. https://youtu.be/YZtiDJqVYwk?si=UtBeSBXUSc_3R7hV
  20. Well to a degree you were falling I suppose, very slightly. This part comes with practice and balance hence my question about cycling. The delicate aspect of balance is minor adjustment despite it feeling like your past the point of no return. This obviously depends on ability and experience wether that's on a bicycle or motorbike. I don't know if your familiar with the film Taladaga Nights? It sounds like you need a little more "stupid cowboy" It is indeed easier said than done but at some point the doing needs to be done. Your a young guy, throw caution to the wind, jump on that scootay, humm a stupid song to yourself and embrace the joys of full throttle, whizzing round on one of the most mellow machines you could possibly ride.
  21. I'd be buying a used one with all the mods and tackle already on and saving myself a hefty chunk of brass. I think they're pretty cool tbh. As said, most may of seen a gravel track at best most of their life.
  22. Were you on a scootay or the geared bike? How old are you out of interest? The obvious advice is stay calm, all the bikes used for CBT training are very light and forgiving, non will accidentally blast off, all can be stopped from falling pretty easily. Maybe watching some CBT vids on YouTube may help?
  23. Do you drive? Do you cycle? If not get yourself a push iron. If things get too much, pull it on the curb and chill for 5 mins, get yourself used to the traffic, junctions etc. It can be stressful for some.
  24. I'd think if a zombie could set up a "simple road block" that they could also jam a stick into the spokes surreal comment
