  3. I'm going...Cat and Owen are going....great times to be had by all
  4. Thanks Neil and a belated Happy Birthday....oh and Happy New Year
  5. Nice to be back mate......and Happy New Year to you too...
  6. Yup...I disappeared for a while....but I'm back now...
  7. Thanks Mate....sorry I'll get a message in there asap...
  8. Thanks Mate and the same to the both of you
  9. It’s coming up to the New Year and I would like to bury the hatchet with those people that have been upset at me this last few months. I certainly never, and I mean never, set out to upset anyone as I much prefer to make people laugh. We, as adults, will not always see eye to eye over some issues and I personally wouldn’t want a friend who did. I prefer friends to be honest and tell me what they think and, yes, sometimes argue. This is healthy and is a healthy relationship anyone in the know will affirm this. Anyway it’s over to you.....you know who you are...
  10. oooppss I used the quote button again....damn...
  11. Last chance, don't come on the forum. Wow...I'm sorry Fozzie I didn't know you were one of the moderators and had the right to throw me off the forum.... . No but I am so stop using selective quoting to change the context of what people are saying! or what?????? Gonna throw me off??....go on thenmate you do that.....if it will make you feel big and good about yourself....and if you read it properly I didn't use a selective quote i used the part that I needed but then an education is a good thing in my case
  12. Last chance, don't come on the forum. Wow...I'm sorry Fozzie I didn't know you were one of the moderators and had the right to throw me off the forum.... oh and BTW YOU were the one that was patronising.....but frankly I could give a rats arse for any opinion that comes from yourself....simply becuse your opinions do not come with evidence....when you provide ebvidence that the wearing of a hi viz jacket with "polite" written on the back is a bad thing for motorcyclists I will listen to you until then...nope sorry... I couldn't care less if a person wears hi viz or not, with or without poliute written on it, that is their personal choice. However I do object to people who just slag someone else off for simply doing what they believe to be right, ergo wearing this stuff makes you a tosser.....simply No it doesnt....but as I have said...you win....
  13. Opinions are not a problem.....backing them up with evidence other than...."its shit"...."they are w**kers" is....IMO but it no longer matters as Stu and Fozzie have won the arguement.....please offer congratulations if it is felt necessary....being right doesnt matter as long as you win the arguement....and they have both won....is that a draw???
  14. Also to Derek, Stu is right in this instance, as he drives for a living and can support a majority view it's safe to assume he is. The majority isn't what makes him right, it's his experience. Which given I have seen you advocate for more training and building experience should actually lend you towards agreeing. Why can't people be nice I'm sorry mate..I didn't realise that my having driven everything from a moped, JCB, 7.5 ton and minibuses for a living ... not forgetting the car of course alongside the riding a bike for 40+ years means I dont have any driving experience....course not...wow...I need to surrender my licence immediately... Fozzie I have managed to survive more than one near death experience on both bikes and in cars, I have also raced on 4 wheels...so please don't try to imply that I know nothing about bike or car driving..... Or maybe you would also like me to ...hang on I will... WELL DONE FOZZIE..YOU TOO HAVE WON...please go collect your prize.....or look in the mirror and smile because you have won the arguement/debate....well done that man.....there does that make you feel better.....sigh
  15. but all it takes is one idiot to panic and you're dead oh actually the "polite" will save your life damn I forgot about that oh I haven't seen the odd person panic I have seen a lot! I merely gave 1 example tell you what Stu...I'll save some time and effort....YOU ARE COMPLETELY RIGHT AS ALWAYS....and I, of course am completely wrong...you win, please collect your prize, oh there isnt one well I'm sure you must feel great to have brow beaten someone who simply disagreed with you...well done there you go
  16. so what are they doing?? what is the reason behind having "polite" on a high vis what is the purpose of it? does it save your life? And as you know I drive for a living so I see lots of shit on the roads on a daily basis and when people do see a copper they shit themselves I have witnessed coppers pull up to a junction and people slam on just to let them out!! why is this? they dont have blue lights on they are a normal road user until them lights are flashing so why do people feel the need to slam on and stop in a 40 zone at last minute because they see a copper? wearing a high vis with polite on it can have the same affect IMO its more dangerous than no high vis my god this is really very simple....they believe, quite possibly wrongly, that having the word polite on the back gives them yet another layer of protection from the bad motorist. Furthermore just because you have seen the odd idiot panic doesn't mean that everyone, or the majority does.
  17. What is this in response to? Just sounds like an emotional outburst. No reason or rhyme We're not discussing what a "real biker" is. We aren't putting people who wear high vis down. We were having a pop at those who go one step further and near on impersonate a police officer. I have a problem as it could cause a hazard unnecessarily, so by that right I have a problem causing hazards, which would include your kawasaki 400 rider. So calm down a tad... It's a discussion, leave the chips on shoulders at home! no one is "impersonating" a police officer by wearing a hi viz vest with "Polite" on it....if they were then quite simply they would be prosecuted as it is an offence. And please don't patronise me by telling me to "calm down" ...I don't have any chips on my shoulder and I am quite calm thank you very much but merely abhor those who choose to slag someone off simply because they do something that doesnt fit in with their personal ideology....It's both childish and negative....both of which we can do without IMO
  18. .......don't tell me you have one of those things??? No I don't .... but I also don't go slagging people off like a big girl in a playground just for what they are wearing either....
  19. YAWN...... Tell you what ...lets all slag off that w**ker on a 400 Kawasaki that was on the wrong side of the road "getting his knee down" cos he's a "real biker" isn't he....the one that forced me to swerve violently and nearly come off.... You know the one..,. "the real biker"...not someone wearing a hi viz vest....oooohh like I was... but thats ok cos he's a "real biker" he gets his knee down on the corners.... What a laugh....
  20. I don't believe most people "panic" when they see the police....bit of an exageration there....but then again maybe some of you do I don't know...
  21. Obviously your opinion differs to mine then Stu Can you substantiate that "is bollocks" remark? Like why is it? How is it? etc
  22. I sit here and wonder why there is so much bile being vented against someone who merely wants to give themselves the best protection they can??....beyond belief
