I had something similar on my old SV and when I checked I found teeth missing on the front sprocket...the previous owner had fitted a new chain and rear sprocket which were ruined by not changing the front...

while this is true with it been in a garage there will be masses of condensation already I agree but using a gas heater will make rivers.....when I used to fix cars etc for a living we had the big blower ones and you could feel the damp coming off them if you stood in front of one...

You don't want any kind of gas heater (propane etc) as they produce masses of condensation....I used to have a Dimplex oil filled radiator in mine and that seemed ok...

A definate NO on the battery charger....there are plenty of reasonably cheap ones that are only for bikes.....try looking on 2 Wheel Junkie as they often have them on offer...

If its mechanical.....it will probably be the cable getting rounded at the drive...

A clicking sound is often the telltale of a poor earth connection....that being the engine connection or negative battery connection...

Hi Your Headlamp Bulb has two filaments...dipped beam and main beam....sounds like the dipped beam element is blown....buy a new bulb...
