  1. http://www.morpethmobiles.co.uk/content/images/thumbs/0010003_arkon-bike-handlebar-golf-buggy-mount-water-resistant-case-holder-for-samsung-galaxy-s5-sm-g900-appl.jpeg The base of it stays attached to the bars, the front bit comes off easily. See that collar around the ball joint on the back of the phone compartment? You loosen that a bit then the ball joint separates easily. And they're easy to loosen or tighten even with gloves on. Oh and I really must stress just how much rain mine had to put up with The BMW's speedo didn't work properly for the first year I had it, so my phone had to be on permanent GPS speedo duties. So in other words I did ~10,000 miles of riding with that mounted on my bike. Seeing it rains something like 30% of the time in England (I vaguely skim read some official looking thing to get that number), that's 3000 odd miles of unending rain without a drop getting inside. Pretty darn waterproof!
  2. I thought he was a biker himself? One rule for him and another for everyone else, egocentric rich twat.
  3. Because refugee concentration camps are just peachy
  4. I've got one thing to say to that: http://isitfunnyoroffensive.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/141005_2816914_Weekend_Update__What_You_Can_Sayg.jpg Surely that just makes 'Murica the safest place to be right now? Also, thanks for the new signature image

  6. The perfect opportunity to get REALLY GOOD at straight lines and roundabouts!
  7. But that's exactly the excuse the pikey travellers use to allow them to drive untaxed uninsured cars and park them anywhere they like.. "can't take my car/van away, it's my life".... And they get away with it all the time. WELP just gonna have to burn 'em all.
  8. Tried watching it, won't play in any of my browsers. Shame, be interested to hear what they have to say.
  9. To be fair, I think Beefy would do a great job of prepping them. Over tightening a random selection of bits (and not attaching other parts at all) is pretty standard for the crappy stealerships selling Chinese bikes.
  10. 10/10 would buy for £60.
  11. Yeah because everything on the internet is true... I know a guy who can tell you a thing or two about that
  12. So.. shoulda stolen it instead of paying £15?
  13. At the moment I'm rocking a waterproof washbag bodged onto the clip straps from a pair of poundshop bum-bags, all held together with a few cable ties... maybe I should upgrade
  14. In the winter I apply a liberal coat of swearing whenever I'm doing chain maintenance. It doesn't tend to help, but it makes me feel a bit better about the whole experience.
  15. Nice! I like the zip-off base, good feature that. Could make a nice budget tank bag for bikes with plastic tanks... I'd get one for mine if I hadn't already bodged something together
  16. Love that the Mirror go out of their way to paint him as a victim
  17. Already off! Just sticking it back on again, in fact

  19. Well done. Now just don't squeeze the front brake lever... One step ahead! I've got a spanner cable tied in place between the pads until the wheel goes back in
  20. All done. Had to take the bash plate off in order for the jack to get a decent grip on the frame, kept sliding out. Turns out I've smashed a corner off my bash plate at some point So now the jack is lifting from the front right of the frame, and the weight is spread over the back wheel and sidestand. Once the wheel was out I put my metal toolbox under the fork to make it that bit more stable. Cheers all!
  21. Yeah I just don't want it falling onto the forks without a wheel attached, it was designed to take a lot of shit but maybe not quite that @Old-Timer No center stand sadly, otherwise this would be pretty painless. When I had to take the from wheel off my old F650 I did exactly the same thing as you, only using a jack instead of a stool!
  22. You got roof struts in the garage you can loop some rope around? Nah, sadly not. Plain concrete all the way around.
  23. Stuff it, I'm just gonna stick a jack under the front of the frame and balance it on the stand and rear wheel. Fingers crossed the jack doesn't slip while I'm in town I've taken the front wheel off the CG in the same way and everything went fine, and this thing only weighs 15kg more
  24. Dangit man you asked for more motorcycle themed threads and this is how you repay me
