  1. And on a cg125 ? Hide rust/holes? Oh wait it's not Chinese...
  2. Patience, man! It's Friday night and this alcohol isn't drinking itself any more than it did the last four nights before I helped out
  3. Personally I'd stick to leaving that second bit black/grey, more balance to it.
  4. Exactly - I'm escaping Cambridge and Trumplandia seemed like a better prospect than the north. Sad.
  5. Done. I think it looks pretty awesome.
  6. Why would anyone want to stop in the north...?
  7. I'll do it in just a moment, somewhat busy at present...
  8. You'll do well
  9. Comfy pyjamas with a crapton of armour bits underneath
  10. Stuff it, I'd do it green then. Looks more striking and breaks up the lines of the bike a little more than solid black does - the all black ones always look a bit chunkier to me.
  11. Being serious for a moment (booooo), how good a match would you realistically be able to get to the rest of the green?
  12. Naaaaaah, mix it up a bit and go for an old school Kawasaki colour scheme: http://www.sportbikerider.us/Pics70/1995-Kawasaki-ZZR600-97658.jpg
  13. Excellent - hope you took a moment to throw a smug grin at the other guy
  14. Also - if it's the chain, it'd be sticky. If it's the engine, it'd be slippery. Doesn't get easier to diagnose than that!
  15. Glad it's all sorted! No surprises that one of them tried to be a lazy toerag and fob you off
  16. I find my leather jacket is cooler for the first half hour or so, but once it's had time to heat up it's just as bad if not worse. Well placed vents make the biggest difference to my mind! My most recent textile jacket has vents around the wrist that give a lovely airflow up the sleeves and around your back, and all the vents have little poppers to hold them wide open once they're unzipped. Used to sweat to death in the previous one but this one is actually pretty usable all year round. Handy little features that make all the difference.
  17. Crap headline from the BBC, trying to get the middle class idiot brigade up in arms once again... Try "Theft/murder suspect, 16, critical after moped and police car collide" next time
  18. Only a few more weeks and I'll just be able to shoot the f**kers
  19. Strongly recommend doing an Enduro experience day! Great way to get good at controlling a bike in challenging conditions, and even if you do bin it during the training it'll likely be at low speed, on soft ground, and wearing some seriously heavy duty protective kit! Side note, which bits of you are fragile? If it's your knees, Amazon regularly do offers on SixSixOne Knee Braces. I've got a pair for when I go green laning, they're awesome. But also... take it from me, you don't always get the luxury of planning not to fall off. The whole reason I wear the brace is because some tit in a car decided for me and my right knee hasn't been right ever since!
  20. 6 months. Started riding in March and was lucky enough to have absolutely gorgeous weather for the following five months, then I went away on holiday for a fortnight and when I got back it was cold, wet, and slimy. Little experience riding in those conditions + couple of weeks away from riding + enjoying being back on the bike, rather spirited = going too fast around a bend before a junction, got to the apex and saw a larger queue ahead than expected, gave it too much rear brake while still coming out of the bend and subsequently lowsided down the A10 falling inches short of hitting the van in front
  21. What Stu said! I'd had a shit week at work (and for some other personal reasons) and I needed to get mean drunk. I achieved this swiftly and reasonably cheaply. I fail to see how this was a bad thing
  22. If you would like to neck a bottle of JD and end up in a better state so that we can all see how it's done, I'm sure nobody will stop you
  23. Nah I'm pretty sure the most sorry excuse was the state of your chain last year
