1. Clutch would be my first guess. Is it actuating properly? Also - be a lot easier to help with all these questions if you kept them in a single thread instead of starting a new one for every single issue

Re. the battery... pass? I'm shit with electrical stuff. Like, EPICALLY shit. The battery in mine was completely dead when I first got it, didn't stop me riding it though. Lol, kickstart Never had to change the chain on this bike so not sure what it needs - but the Awardspace website is, as always, amazing for this kind of stuff: http://hondacg125.awardspace.com/chain.htm#Replacement-Chain And to be fair, the parts search on SportsBikeShop is pretty damn good for this sort of thing too! https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_group/_/(all;product_rating;DESC;0-0;all;b2586) £40 for a chain and sprocket set is pretty darn good And yeah, you want to change the sprockets too if you're changing the chain or the old sprockets will just knacker the new chain waaaaaay faster. Does yours have the fully enclosed guard around the chain, or is it one of the ones that doesn't?

Nah mine is completely stock, far too many of them have been ruined by bearded twats doing half arsed cafe racer conversions so I decided to keep mine exactly as Honda intended it.
4. I enjoyed 2014 and 2015, but the 2016 show was crap! As Mawsley said, had to fight to have a sit on anything and absolutely NOTHING was a good deal - I had a shopping basket ready to go on SportsBikeShop so I could compare prices and every single item cost more at the show. Booked a bunch of test rides while I was there and none of them followed it up except Honda who repeatedly called me to book test rides for the wrong damn bike. I'd say the only highlight of my day was when I was trying to enter the "Win an SV" competition at the Suzuki stand and the computer crashed out of the competition program and ended up back on the desktop... so I had a dig around and found the competition database and deleted every f**king entrance made across the course of the show out of spite. Did I mention I went on the last day?

Think you want a YTX5L-BS, that's what I've got in mine. Should say on your existing battery, though!
6. Also of note: Don't be put off by the seat height, the suspension has one hell of a lot of travel in it so the bike sits down a whole lot once you get some weight on the seat. Even tsurugi-ijin has managed to get on the bike without help, despite being easily a foot shorter than me. Combined with how light the bike is, it's very manageable and confidence inspiring. Just don't get too confident until the test ride is over and we've done the paperwork
7. Righto, America time is getting awfully close now so I'm going to have to sell the KLX Here's the bike: (I'll post some fresh shots once I've taken the stickers and the flag holder off ) Here's the review thread that tells you almost everything you could need to know about it: https://www.themotorbikeforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=60465 In short... it's got better suspension than a CRF250L, it's got more efficient cooling than a CRF250L, weighs less than a CRF250L, and looks one hell of a lot better too... so if you want to get into green laning, or something that you can flick around town and small roads like an absolute nutter, or just something hard as nails to ride on the crappier days, this is the one to get! Key stuff Location: Cambridge Age: Only 18 months! (still under warranty) Mileage: Just ticked past 6,666 - will go up a little as I'm still using it for the rest of this week, but not by much. After that I'll be switching to the CG. Almost all miles have been done on road, and with limited motorway use so it hasn't been run too hard. Condition: Bike is in really good nick, love the thing to bits so I've kept it clean and ACF50'ed. Only ever had some minor spills in mud, with no damage inflicted. Lens of rear right indicator is loose and aftermarket bar end on right grip is scratched thanks to being knocked over in a car park, no other damage. Run in procedure was followed to the letter (after much debate on here ) and servicing is 100% up to date and has all been carried out at the original dealer (Colchester Kwak), got it logged on the little USB stick thingie they use too. Tyres are fairly new on, front having done less that 1,000 miles. Other bits: Bike has aftermarket exhaust (Delkevic), seat cover, screen, knuckle guards (Acerbis), bars (Renthal), folding mirrors, and the optional Kawasaki sump guard. I've still got all of the original parts, which are all in perfect condition. Plus, I've got a crapload of tools that I can't bring with me... might be possible to included some of them in the price if interested. And let me know if there's anything else you'd like to know about the bike! Price: Asking price is £3000, open to offers but I'll only consider the sensible ones
8. Charging you every time the bike touches the floor?!? Bollocks to that! Don't give the thieving bast*rds another penny
9. Awesome Gif
10. Or putting too much habanero sauce on your pizza.
11. Good day indeed! Happy birthday Baldrick, Phooey and rennie!
12. Even more effective than having a Bandit parked out front?!?
13. Use the Freddos man!! Have you SEEN how much those cost now?!? I'm not made of money, man!
14. DAMMIT I don't know if I can afford to outbid that
15. Erm... would that cause the issues listed at the top? Anyone? Stu who knows everythingexceptwherenottousegravy? Sounds fishy to me but the disclaimer in my signature goes double for electrical stuff

17. Still marginally better than wearing normal shoes, I guess. But mainly I imagine they exist because the demand is there and the manufacturers aren't gonna turn down the money! Fine for some folks, no doubt. Boots and gloves are just about the only bits of kit I never compromise on, so I guess I'm not the target market
18. Yeah but Monkey boi is asking a new question at least. No doubt Stu Hoggs or rennie will do some chopping and changing if it's an issue +1 What savo said, if the spark plug is black it's running rich so it probably isn't breathing right. Give the air filter a look - if it's a paper filter just replace it as savo said, if it's the reusable foam type then pop it out and give it a clean then re-oil it. There's a guide on here (isn't there always?): http://hondacg125.awardspace.com/servicing.htm#Air-Filter Don't go too crazy when oiling the filter or the excess will pool in your airbox and leak into the tool compartment! AFTER you've done the air filter (not before or you'll just throw the whole thing even further out of whack), check the idle screws are set right. Again, the awardspace site has a guide to getting them back at their factory settings - from there you can tweak them a little if necessary but it'll certainly help you get things back on track if you take them back to stock. It only takes a few seconds and you don't have to take any bits off the bike, so I'd say you may as well do it even before testing the bike to see if the air filter sorted it. http://hondacg125.awardspace.com/idle_screws.htm And then finally change that plug! If that doesn't sort it then maybe something more is afoot, but I bet that'll cover it Unless the spark plug is black from oil fouling. It's not black and wet, is it? Because that would be really shit
19. Well I'm sure if anyone is going to do a good job of it, it'd be TCX... not sure I'd want so little ankle support though, personally speaking. Nice to have some extra stability if you're riding around town, just in case you suddenly need to catch the weight of the bike when some twat nudges you or pulls out unexpectedly. Something that goes a little further up the leg might not be a bad idea? But for just riding into town and back they couldn't be too terrible. The MAIN thing I'd say is, "I expect to be riding for short leisure journeys only" rarely remains the case once you've got some miles under your belt! Stylmartin are worth a look too, if you want some other options: http://www.urbanrider.co.uk/brands/stylmartin-boots.html I bought a pair of the "Legend" boots from that shop when I needed something a little smarter than my shabby old touring boots to wear for my wedding - they're seriously nice.
20. If you'd done a visit when I was there I could've taught you some origami You missed out!
21. Jeez, nobody says THAT lightly I guess that on reflection, I did see Bonio's mug in the Secret Santa thread.
22. You could be lying...

+1 for the awardspace site, it's amazing.
24. I remain convinced that Bonio is in fact a mythical being. If his GS did exist, it would have a single horn between the squinty headlights and the exhaust would puff out clouds of rainbow coloured glitter.
