  1. I don't flash people out - if they want to pull out then it's their responsibility to do the looking around and make the decision to emerge or not. I might slow down or allow a gap for them but I will not signal them out - that must be their decision alone. Similarly, I ignore flashers when joining a carriageway and make my own assessment of whether it's safe to join or not.
  2. Jesus - just checked out the calendar for 2015 track days. Not many going this year and the price has shot up. £125+ for a standard weekday session is a bit OTT in my opinion.
  3. Part number:PFKL350817 http://www.lingshondaparts.com/honda_motorcycle_parts_selection_pfk.php?block_01=13KCHWU1&block_02=F__1501&block_03=1985 You'll probably need to get in touch with Lings.
  4. So wait... This nifty little number means one would no longer have to suffer oil all over one's hands, would allow a predictable flow of oil during draining and speed up the oil changing process? Why do we all not have these already?
  5. It'd be unlikely to have threaded the bolt - you'd see it on the threads anyway. You can chance your arm with fresh PTFE (I've done worse and got away with it). A better option would be a heli-coil or re-tap the sump threads.
  6. It's a bit tight in there but do you think you might be able to zap it with a bit of heat? A small blowtorch or similar would do. I'd give it a few sharp taps with a small metal headed hammer before that, just to see if that'd free it up.
  7. Looking at what's left of it, I'd do as Mega says and give it a whack with an impact driver to get it shifting.

    New Ink

Hmm... I agree with Joeman - I knocked up a design when I was a teenager that I wanted on my chest. It was incredibly deep and meaningful back then but I'm so glad I didn't have it done as it's a period of my existence that I'm very happy to forget!
  9. Plus there's no intermediate box for the industrial range.

    DIY Carbon Fibre?

I saw one of those "How it's Made" programmes where they made some carbon fibre stuff (bicycle frames I think) - looked pretty much like fibre glassing. They used inflatable bladders to make hollow/comex pieces as I remember. I'd love to hear/see how your experiments go.
  11. I popped in to Halfords the other day to have a look at their tool cabinets - the pro ones are a slightly different red to my Teng box so would clash and I can't have that! The industrial ones look pretty sturdy but bear more than a passing resemblance to the Sealey range which is considerably cheaper than the Halfords standard pricing...
  12. Happy birthday Mr Neil!
  13. That sir is very true!
  14. Congratulations on your dog's success but is this really news?
  15. Don't do it! Colour coordinating is a slippery slope - first it's the jacket, then it's the curtains, cushions, etc, etc. Plus, who really cares? Get grey, it'll go with whatever bike you get in the future.
  16. Hold up, I came near as damn it to the south coast for a ride out with you lot and you can't even be arsed to travel up to poxy Snet?! Outrageous.
  17. Sounds like a plan. It'll probably be a last minute, weather dependant number for me unless there's some sort or organised thing in the pipeline...
  18. Don't pin it on me! I think Stu was the instigator. 10% sounds about right though. I'd be up for it as my lovely girlie got me an MSV voucher for crimbo. Snetterton would be my first choice because my bike is set up for it already.
  19. As they say in France... "Bof"
  20. Yet more good reasons not to visit our great friend and ally.
  21. Installed the app, opened forum, your smiley thing was still just text, didn't like the app, deleted app, back to mobile version.
  22. Out of interest, what the f**k is this? Some new trend or summink?
  23. meanwhile, im looking forward to my boozy pub christmas lunch And I've got my feet up on the desk, pondering whether I should: a) Continue playing with my tiny motorbike toy. b) Go to the engineer's lair and make up some thing for the bike c) Go home. It's a tough one.
  24. I don't think you're going to get what you want for the dosh you want to spend buddy. I'd be looking to ditch a couple of things off your wish list or go textile. Can't say I've ever had a leather jacket that was waterproof without having to constantly slap loads of stuff on it. Plenty of stuff on Sportsbikeshop at the mo at pretty good prices.
  25. Most of them look like they're in Mmmmerica or Eastern Europe mind...
