  1. ....you have to stay awake all night and spray it every 30mins mate. Aww maaaaaaan... I'm gonna be tired sunday :'(
  2. My engine is gonna be sore by then Must remember to get fuel.. my mileage is only about 100 miles at best!!
  3. Ace, quite excited to do it now.
  4. Not quite sure where you stand.. I think any surface damage will count against you though. Check out caberg helmets. i've got a fat noggin and mine fits comfortably. I got a V2RR for £130.
  5. Silencer won't come off, i disconnected all the bolts and no matter how hard i yanked (giggity) it wouldn't come off. As above it's falling apart and to buy the seperate parts costs me almost as much as a brand new system. So will do that and try sell mine on for £50-£100 see what i get. Cheers for the tips on removing will try some of those products. When you say soak it over night. Do you mean just spray some on and leave it untill the morning then try remove?
  6. Getting them off is gonna be the problem.. Bloody bolts that hold them in are rusted and seized in... Might have to get an impact driver or something on them as i tried by hand and got NOWHERE..
  7. Looks like it doesn't need it Ollie....a decent fart and the thing will fall to pieces by the look of it..... I've found a new complete system, £340 if i behave my spending i might be able to wrangle it http://www.delkevic.co.uk/?section=shop ... YSTEM-4489
  8. Thought it was welded but wasnt 100 percent sure... its in the pipeworks a whole new system looking about 300 quid hnnngh Cheers for the info chaps
  9. Right i know the bandits are plagued by problems but mine seems to have a lot.. Decided to take the exhaust silencer off, give it a clean and give myself some space to work on the rear brakes. So i took off the rear bolt, no problem. loosened the clamp near the collector box (it's a bit rusty around there..) then went to the front mounting bracket... There was no bolt there, odd, but the ehxuast moves so there is nothing hidden there just need to replace that i reckon. Tried for 10 minutes to then pull the silencer off to NO avail it just sat there. Not sure if it's me but it looks possibly welded together? Will upload a photo see what people think, but it's a tad annoying as i can't remove the blasted thing. Is it just me being weak or not pulling enough to actually get the exhaust loose? Edit : http://imgur.com/a/J6RSu Providing link works, there is 3 pictures of the exhaust system.
  10. Saw it advertised on facebook, but decided to do a bikesafe course with essex popo. Booked in for July. Anybody done one before and found it worth while?
  11. If you feel the need to do this, Buy it, send it to me i will give you my address with cans of chain cleaner (These can add up eventually hence i use paraffin) the process does take no time at all, just get either a paddock stand or something to hold the bike up. i have a wheel spinner i used to use on my chinese bike it worked alright though a bit stiff. If you're interested you can have it for a little fee + postage cost me about £20 brand new.
  12. Step 1) Ride to your local refuse center Step 2) Turn the bike off and step off it Step 3) leave the bike and catch a bus. I kid, but seriously with mine i spent a lot of time working on it and still never kept it in that good nick. First off get yourself a good cover for when it's not in use, rain is your arch nemesis. Second if you have chrome, get some autosol and polish that shizzle, polish it reeeeeal good. Give it a nice protective layer of polish. Third, get some ACF-50 and spray it on a cloth and wipe it over your engine and other metal parts (not brakes) Fourth, clean the bike weekly get any salt, dirt, general crap off. As for the chain, I have started using Parafin (B&Q £6 for 4 litres) and brush it on with a bristly brush and wipe it off with some rags, spot less. Then apply some lubricant everyone has their own preference, I still use muc-off dry chain lube. Before you apply it, warm the chain up by running it a little then spray it all over the o-rings and cover the lot. be careful it doesn't land on the wheel if it does get it off or you might slide about on the bike. If you get rust, scrub it off and cover it early, it will only get worse. I think that covers it all.. Good luck is all i can say.
  13. Oh yes, heavy duty. I want to do this once, then not again for a while I have looked into renthal / DID it's a small amount extra but i'm not sure if it's worth it? If i did i was potentially thinking.. http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorcycl ... 0-pitch-oe http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorcycl ... d-anodised http://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcy ... prod/72445 Totals an extra tenner more.
  14. Been looking into this periodically. Think i'm going to go with http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorcycl ... heavy-duty 25k warranty on it is a nice feature but i wanted to up my rear to 47 and keep my front at 15 for slightly better rpm on my commute hopefully get some better fuel consumption. Also grabbing http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorcycl ... in-breaker along with it. Will get these on order, fit it, and test it will report back =)
  15. Looking at grab bars for my bandit, I currently have the bar that sits at the back just above the rear light (http://img.auctiva.com/imgdata/1/1/9/2/ ... 479_tp.jpg) But i prefer the side ones as a pillion myself at times the side ones are more comfortable to hold on to, also they're good for tying stuff to the bike. Does anyone know if : A) you can buy them ebay isn't turning up a lot B) you can fit them on a bike they don't come standard on? I have seen other bandits with these, unfortunately my friend took his off his bandit and had nothing but he got rid of that years ago so drat!
  16. Not sure if it's what this one is, but I know a guy that's got a a carbon Delkevic stubby on his bandit and it sounds awesome! Any chance you could ask where he got it from? Trying to compare companies online but i like to know from people who have used them
  17. Corr thats a beauty!! I'd be interested to know where you got the exhaust from? did you get just the can or a full system?
  18. If you get jealous just remember it's a 125 He's only jealous because it works
