  1. Its controlled by the uk.gov as a form of mind control to encourage the jobless to get a job!! Don't think it's working.. Jeremy kyle is rather popular.
  2. I know how you feel, I drove for 7 years before getting my bike. I still feel nervous at times, but i am better than i was (passed last september) Just keep riding add the miles on and vary your routes. If you struggle with a corner, keep taking it untill you can nail it. Having a bike that is in good shape helps to. I found after i changed my tyres my bike felt so much easier to control.
  3. Been reading up on methods of maintaining the chain. Thinking of trying paraffin to clean it off then some gear oil to lube it up? I hear it's fantastic stuff and obviously a lot cheaper than buying 1-2 cans of cleaner each time.. Any one got recomendation or warnings for these products?
  4. Maybe get yourself a cheap project someone has given up on and see if you can get it going Or if that fails get on a push bike and make engine noises and get your knee down. brum.. brum ... BRUUUUUUUUUUUUUM
  5. Someone had a little tantrum.. hahaha
  6. I had an issue with my brake light being on all the time last summer on a ride out. It was casually mentioned but i thought nothing of it assumed i was just resting my foot on it. Well i had adjusted my brake lever height and this was in turn pushing the switch that turns the light on. I just adjusted the brake height. Try unplug your cable from your front or rear to see which one is is that is leaving it in then work from there maybe adjust the brake height etc. Fitting a new resevoir i have never done but i can think it would be a right hassle as you will have to bleed the brakes and make sure there is no air inside But im not sure if it will be any easier than just getting to top off. Hopefully someone who has had experience in this will be able to help!

Spend more time polishing that riding!
  9. People ranting about it on the website.. If it's passed safety tests whats the problem? Chances are it won't be very warm or waterproof but you get what you pay for. Buy a set of waterproofs chuck over the top and it's a reasonable price for a starter set.
  10. Nob of the day. Guy on his very large touring (teal ? ew) touring bike with panniers dotted all over. Undertaking me in busy A12 traffic as i indicated to come off the slip road. There is being in a rush and riding aggressively. Then there is riding like a massive NOB and putting other people in danger.
  11. Nearly had a motorbike wipe my out this morning, would have if i wasn't paying attention
  12. I constantly look in my mirrors to keep an eye on things, but before i do anything just a quick glance incase someone on an R1 or a Hayabusa has snuck up on me.
  13. ... But for how long... Also on the exhaust bolts, nightmare aren't they! I've had to square up with them before and a breaker bar was struggling and it felt like they were just going to shear. If you have power to your garage/place you park the bike I can suggest some good impact drivers. I can't see a nut saying no to 450nm of torque Don't make me paranoid about the brakes haha! It seemed fine on the way in. Also i swear the bike warmed up quicker today with new oil.. or i could be crazy (or both?). As for the exhaust i'm leaving it for now! I mostly wanted to look in close at the collector box (nightmare in this bike i hear) and how difficult it is to change. But untill it becomes a problem it can stay on!!
  14. Went quite well.. Did a bit less than i planned. Didn't take the exhaust off in the end as the bolts would not budge without MASSIVE force and i did not want that hassle Oil filter and oil changed without issue, and brake fluid flushed again without issue. Changed the idle speed as well which was rather easy. Brake pads hcecked. so all in all succesful day =) Also the bike does still run (and stop!)
  15. I agree with that Phil! I like the ability to see MUCH further ahead, nothing blocking my visibility, more manouvering room, and speed to get out of trouble (though it often gets me into it first)
  16. I started off in a car and got a bike. It definately helps to learn the other. As you know how the roads work so its one less thing to think abouit

God damn thats a gorgeous bike.
  18. I've wiped the oil off for now. I plan on doing a service on it saturday anyhow so will change the oil for completely fresh stuff and see how we go. I'll keep an eye on it and check for any damage on the engine at all. As you say it could just be water mixed with road dirt and some dirt on the engine already.. Bike does accumulate crap quickly!
  19. Hahaha god damn that cheese comment i burst out laughing in the office :D Will post my failiure for all to see don't you worry!
  20. I see you've been polishing that chrome
  21. Rode home yesterday and just happened to look over the engine.. I noticed oil sitting on the top in a small puddle.. Going to try upload some photo via my phone (cause thats gonna work) just wondering if it's a leak or what. I did rev the engine very high at one point for a few seconds as some chav in a boy racer car tried to have me one http://imgur.com/cXO6iD2 http://imgur.com/yimPYwf Provided i've linked these correct.. Should show 2 photos of the oil.

  25. Pub sounds good! haha. Gonna get an oil filter from garage nearby for £5 and pick some oil up while i'm there Annoyingly i need to get the fairing off as it's come loose for some reason (i think a bolt fell off)
