    Air filters..

Yeah, what you do it start up a new thread and then, most importantly WRITE A LONG AND WINDING REVIEW IN CAPITALS REPEATING OVER AND OVER AGAIN THE NAME OF THE ENITITY YOU ARE ENDORSING WHILE NOT PUTTING ANY PUNCTUATION IN TO YOUR PROSE IT'S IMPORTANT THAT YOU REPEAT THE NAME SEVERAL TIMES SO THAT PEOPLE KNOW WHO YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT PEOPLE WILL ENJOY THIS AND DEFINITELY BUY THE THING OR SERVICE THAT YOU ARE RECOMMENDING WITH YOUR RAMBLING AND UNNECESSARILY LONG PARAGRAPH YOU MAY INCLUDE SOME SPELLING MISTAKES TOO THANKYOU I yelled this in my head.
  3. If it's any help. I use one of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5-6-Waterproo ... 20e2652231 For my satnav to hold it. Used to have a tankbag one but it's uncomfortable to look down like that. It's easy to mount but the back can come off. so i just permanently put a pair of screws in. so now it's just a case of tightening and untightening the part at the back (10second detach) As for charging it i have an oxford cigarette lighter style thing £15 works a charm, just slaved off my horns electrics
  4. Come on back to the land of special brew and roads that require turning! Seriously though that must be horrible.. a "Fire drill" for a shooter jesus what a country ..

    Air filters..

Look pretty? Shouldn't have got a bandit then. As stu says, stay away from the airbox, hundreds of threads on the bandit forum of people who've tried and f**ked up the fuelling. Spend your money on a set of weighted fork springs, and the rear shock off a 2004 cbr600rr, both will bolt in in a matter of hours and transform the bike, it will still look the same, but it will handle better on a B road. Oi. I happen to think my bandit looks nice.
  7. Hmm, well thats a hell of a lot of recomendations FOR it.. Will look into it then. I imagine it makes life easier for long trips.
  8. Such a smart ass TBH to do it myself i'd have to have them transport it back to me and take all the parts off again only to realise i have no idea what i'm doing. I'll pay the money get it done properly and hopefully ride the bike
  9. Ok. Spoke to mechanic today (not getting bike till tomorrow.. sad tom) The carb float valve needs replacing on 2. But as he has it off he recomended doing all 4. So once that's in tomorrow he's also changed the spark plugs and the air filter(?) so he thinks he has found the problem causing all my issues on the bike. SOmething about backdraft and other technical mumbo jumbo I'm not looking forward to the bill but hoping i can convince him for a discount as i'm a regular (doh)
  10. Ah... As a (generally) all year round commuter/rider that would get annoying! At least with clean/lube chain myself i know it's done. only takes about 10-15minutes anyway.
  11. (Moved this to right location ) Looking at investing in one of these devices.. Are they fairly easy to use/fit? They claim it extends chain life by 2-7 times.. not sure how legit that is? Any bad sides (except starting cost)
  12. Top banana Don't steer clear of motorways. First place i went so i could open the bike up a bit without losing my license on the same day Keep it safe and just be careful of the conditions at moment especially with all these "Storm warnings"
  13. Haha sorry!! Damn women always making life difficult.. Defo come on by i'll make you a cup of tea and show you some of the nice quiet riding roads =D
  14. Bad news... Missus booked us a holiday landing back saturday afternoon (27th) So unfortunately another year i won't be able to attend.. I know i've already paid for the friday but dont worry if someone wants to go for free they can if not Stu have a pint on me hah!
  15. Ah i see! Yes that part needs changing soon i think.. Might just buy a new system as the standard exhaust looks kinda naff
  16. Right, still not found any problems with it though it has issues at high speeds ie motorways etc. and it doesnt quite sound right. Mechanic is doing a check of the valves and several other things that i can't quite remember as he says something when he listens to it doesnt sound quite right even though it is rideable its not ideal. So thats booked in for next week.. Damn second hand bikes are expensive !
  17. I loved taking my cast off.. Once it's been on over 3 weeks it feels nasty. You get it off your skin feels all tingly and by jove it stinks!! Glad it's off =)
  18. Were you in the store? If so speak to the store manager and explain you were there and often they will have the charge cancelled (providing they run pay for the service) at least thats how it used to be at homebase
  19. Nice and sunny here but very cold and a little icy.. i think i'll leave it a few days.
  20. Mechanic and shop owner both took it out for 5-10mile rides and nothing happened. Going to have to try and figure it out myself.. A bit of nice weather wouldn't go amiss..
  21. I have no idea what that is

    Poor MPG...

Don't mind me.. Just a bit of suggestive quote editing It's a slow day in the office.
  23. I fancy heading up there some time. Gimme a nudge i'll join you KD79 (kieran) is up in ipswich also, sure he'd come along.
  24. Time to put a review up about my bike i think.. Suzuki Bandit GSF600S (K3?) half faired dark blue Where/when did i buy it and how much I picked this up about august time a month before i passed my test at around 8500 miles from Hythe hill motorcycles, costing me £1900 with £500 trade in. Pro's It's a good all rounder, people give it a harsh time the "Blandit" and what not, but for a first proper bike, it's large enough, forgiving if you make a mistake, easy to work on (especially with the center stand) it looks great (IMO) sounds pretty good and gets some good looks. You can carry loads of crap on it and it doesn't seem to care (maybe at ludicrous speed) there is good storage underneath the seat, i have a set of tools and waterproof top/trousers with room for a snickers to! Comfy to ride even long distances, keeps up with most bikes and almost all cars. Handles well even at slow speeds such as filtering. Cons It's old, it's a 2003 and we're in 2015 so 12 years old it has a few problems. I've had to put a new set of tyres on, change the bulbs, new ignition coil (possibly a second) a new oil cooler (under warranty) and a new sensor for the speedo (warranty also) misc Has no fuel gauge which is a tad annoying. Overall i like it and will run it as long as i can then chop it into a cafe racer frame
