  1. You can buy lock bags specifically designed for the job of carrying chains. They strap/bungee to the back. Here's a good example http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/151230637258
  2. Sounds like a big end to me. The hardest part is getting the engine out and back in again. It'll be cheaper to get it repaired than buy a new engine.
  3. Just to add another vote for D.I.D Last one I put on a bike was a CBR1000, did 10,000 miles on it and it didn't need adjusting at all before someone liberated it from my front garden. It cost a hundred quid.
  4. I got my fridge/freezer about a week after I moved into my place and I've never cleaned it. Been here ten years in June
  5. I remember Bosch being a byword for quality. Somewhere along the line things changed. I wonder if their domestic appliances are equally kack?
  6. It says the ad is no longer available. Where in West London is it? If I'm about I could come and have a look with you and you'll probably want to try and haggle the price down a bit too
  7. Off topic but Bosch windscreen wipers are shite too. They last about 6 weeks before streaking all over the place.
  8. No Suzuki, Honda or Yamaha. Here's mine.
  9. Is the mixture OK? Mine coughs a bit when the engine's cold and I take the choke off too soon.
  10. Two aerials got married. The wedding wasn't too bad but the reception was great.
  11. Fuse?
  12. What Deso said! Complain! I did my test when dinosaurs roamed the earth and didn't have to do CBT but that's out of order.
  13. Mr. Sheen. Good for paintwork and plastics too.
  14. Anti-chatter plate? It just sort of lays on the top of the pads when they're in the caliper. Stops em rattling. I had some ping out of a CBR many moons ago and left them out.
  15. Paraffin is easily obtainable in Home base or B&Q. It's sold under the "parazene" brand or at a pinch you can use lamp oil which works just as well.
  16. I told them I had a Kwak when I filled it in! I wonder if they'll send one to my Dad who has a Royal Enfield? He doesn't but I was hedging my bets. It's really not bad for a freebie. Fingers crossed yours arrives soon!
  17. Mine just arrived. Very nice, too. Thanks, Tankbag!
  18. It's probably dried out by now, it's been nearly 3 months since you asked the question
  19. You could check the plug, it'll never do any harm. I'd check the air filter as well, it could be clogged and starving the engine of air.
  20. I also did mine twice and sent one to a few friends. Maybe that's why I haven't got mine either
  21. I'd have done the CBT and come to an arrangement with the power companies
  22. RTFQ Heh, fair enough. I did RTFQ but skimmed over that bit. Honest, Guv
  23. At the risk of stating the bleedin' obvious, you do lube it?
  24. If larger particles broke off I think a magnet on my oil filter would be the least of my problems. I'm talk about the grey "silt" you get on a magnet after a 5k oil change on an engine with more than a few k on the clock.
  25. They all do that. Scrubbing them in will help a bit but unless they're binding I wouldn't worry about it. Mine make a whizzing noise as the air rushes through the holes in the discs.
