  1. Just eat. Try to enjoy the training and good luck for tomorrow.
  2. Don't believe its a minor or major but "best practice" is left foot down.
  3. Get something that is either Thatcham or Sold Secure Gold for Motorbikes. Simple.
  4. Don't forget that all these Sold Secure and Thatcham stuff are only good for 5 minutes. They are not meant to be capable of withstanding an attack for any longer. I wouldn't consider noise as a deterrent as most people ignore alarms etc etc.
  5. Wall - they will smash the bricks and take the ground anchor and chain as well as your bike.
  6. Floor. Anything Thatcham or Sold Secure Gold for motorcycle use.
  7. Heard it said that a noisy tappet is a happy tappet. Therfore, upper end of the range.
  8. Hood do very good kevlar jeans too. UK made. Google them.
  9. I agree with your wife. Awful.
  10. Well done. The Mod 1 can be difficult when the nerves kick in. Good luck with the Mod 2.
  11. Well done. Would have thought a foot down on any of the slow manoeuvres would be a major fault.....but what do I know!
  12. Harsh but hopefully you'll nail it 2nd time around.
  13. The Camrider Theory app (paid version) is all you need for the theory side of things. You also get some hazard perception clips but they are not the best quality. There are quite a few free clips dotted around the interweb that will help too.
  14. Quality isn't too shabby at all. Not bad for £50 I would have said. BTW it is 2014!
  15. Yes, you need to have passed the theory and hazard perception tests before you can sit the Mod 1.
  16. Sorry to hear that. Your school should of had you riding around the test routes for a good few hours covering any of the tricky bits that may have been on your test route IMHO.
  17. Well done, BTW I think that there is a maximum safe speed for the emergency stop and swerve but its something like 70 kph, above that and curtains. I stand to be correct though!
  18. The hazard perception should be alright. You need to click the mouse (left or righ button) every time you see a "potential" hazard. ie, a car about to pull out, a child walking down the street. Then when a potential hazard DEVELOPS into an actual hazard you click the mouse again. The earlier you spot when the potential hazard has turned into an actual hazard the more points you will score. The size of the scoring window changes with each clip too. There is load stuff about it on-line and quite a few sites will give you free clips to practice on. Too many clicks or clicking in the pattern and you can be disqualified from scoring points on that clip. Personally, I think its more about getting your technique right more than anything. BTW I got 61 out of 75 and was disqualified from one clip!
  19. You can check your driving entitlements on the DVLA website. You'll need your driving licence number, national insurance number and postcode. Have a wander around the DVLA website and you'll find it.
  20. If that £420 includes both Mod 1 and Mod 2 tests then you will have done well IMHO. I spent just under £700 to get mine but that did include the theory, CBT, Mod 1 and Mod 2. I would have said £600 - £750 and a guaranteed pass wouldn't be a bad deal either.
  21. The Mod 1 can be harsh, very harsh. All about getting each manoeuvre right one after the other feeling as nervous as hell! Good luck with your next attempt.
