  1. Congratulations. Think most people find the Mod 2 easier but certainly not a forgone conclusion though. Good luck for that one.
  2. Found it easier to increase the revs and feather the clutch. Dragging the back brake helps if needed. +1 for this.
  3. Haven't done a u-turn since my Mod 1 16 months ago. I can understand it being "tested" but don't think anyone ever does it like the test afterwards.
  4. Keep the revs up, slip the clutch and drag your rear brake. Lifesaver before you start and another before you turn. Look where you want to go. Simple.....eh?
  5. Well done. I went from DAS pass to Street Triple R in a matter of 4 weeks (too me 4 weeks 'cause I had to go overseas for 3 weeks the same day I passed!). Great bike, no regrets here. Mines a 13MY.
  6. Motorcycle theory and test app by deep river development Ltd. Pay for the full version. Covers ALL the multi choice questions.
  7. It's not the kids that are lazy..... It's the fecking parents!
  8. Well done! Happy days. Get yourself across to the Street Triple Forum!
  9. This thread is worth less without the pictures!
  10. .....just think how nervous you'll be when you have passed your CBT, get a bike and go out on your own for the very first time! Take all the advice you are given on board, you will need it.
  11. Well done. Did my Mod 1 at Cardington too. Was the examiner called Mark? Did my Mod 2 there too. Got Mark for both mine. You can't be too far away from me if your doing your training with PRT in Letchworth.
  12. There's a very good app you can download for a few quid....Motorcycle Theory Test +Hazard by Deep River Development Ltd. Keep doing the questions over and over again until you know them all. You'll ace the test.
  13. With some insurers though it can help to put a parent (or someone older with a long driving history) on your insurance as a named driver, even if they'll hardly ever drive it. With Elephant/Admiral for example this often brings the premium down. This is good advice and is known to reduce the premium.
  14. Cost for the mod1 alone is £16.50 and the mod2 is about £75.00 iirc. Add in the bike hire/instructors time etc. Failing can become very expensive.
  15. Get the Motorcycle Theory Test +Hazard by Deep River Development Ltd App and pay the couple of quid. Covers 99.9% of the questions on the test. Very good app.
  16. Check on line for Theory Test cancellations and also look at other test centres that are not too far away. IIRC you can change/cancel your booking with 72 hours notice.
  17. If you have a whole day booked you should do some basic mod1 stuff and some road riding too (ie, mod2 stuff). Getting a full day initially wouldn't be wasted. I ended up going out on the DAS bike during my CBT so if your trainer is for flexible the time wouldn't be wasted IMHO.
  18. Hazard perception is all CGI apparently now but not really any different by all accounts. Get booked into a school for half days training and go from there. You'll need your CBT if you haven't got it already - that'll be a days training and around £125.
