  1. Can I use the one of you laying over a sopping bike in very short denim shorts? Haha I have no problem with that ... im guessing you havnt found the one in helmet and hotpants then :P
  2. I know I was meant to pm you my number too, sorry chick I forgot I had ice on the inside of my tent...and my boots were covered in it (from when I had to pee in middle of night) You had a pee in your boots?!
  3. I'm a biker and ice hockey player... Tough luck for them if they pick me
  4. Hope to be coming (first one). So glad I got the 'Cat that actually works....
  5. Bmwdave, can't remember your bike but rst Tractech Evo waterproof boots are really comfy and only about 139
  6. Damn wish I had known about that! Planning to decorate my go kart helmet with some Super Sic and 58 stickers tonight or tomorrow. Though I should really have found a Senna helmet for this weekend...
  7. I'd heard that's the worst you can do, as your screen gets a coat of water and your visor still will as well. As a result you end up looking through visor, water, screen, water and can seriously hamper your view. Never tried it myself, I've always kept my head in the clouds
  8. Looks like I will be testing the Drift Ghost HD on Sat when karting, as long as they are happy the mount isn't going to fly off. Will YouTube the footage if anyone wants to see how bad I am
  9. Sounds odd the water not clearing off the visor when you were traveling. I've never had an issue in the wet apart from spray from cars reducing distance you can see. I imagine there are products out there you can apply to the visor to encourage the water to bead and dispel off the visor. Not sure how well they work though.
  10. Love Ire and Song - Frank Turner
  11. Go karting, pizza and PS4 with my mates in Bristol. And if I man up and get my Drift Ghost HD, testing that on track
  12. I've decided to get a Drift Ghost HD (sister's BF uses one for skiing and motorbike too.). Only question is, whats the audio like without the external mic? Anyone got an example of the audio they have taken with a stock Drift HD with no external mic?
  13. Mounts are fairly similar in price on amazon. Just not sure I can justify the GoPro prices even if I do go skiing or play ice hockey.
  14. I've read this thread and I am at a total loss as to what camera to get... I was thinking the GoPro as I can use that in ice hockey and skiing as well as on the chest mount on the bike... But the contour roam 2 is a damn site cheaper. But doesn't necessarily look like it has the mounting versatility.. Can anyone clarify the situation for me?
  15. Rocking All Over The World - Status Quo
  16. I'm in Newbury but soon to be Basingstoke if you fancy meeting up for a ride
  17. I've had this helmet just shy of a month. Specifically this one: http://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcy ... rod/194056 For those who can't be bothered reading a load of text I'll do a quick score breakdown: Comfort: 4/5 (Lose one due to wind guard catching on my chin) Noise: 4/5 (Seems noisier than my old RST, however am on a quicker bike now with different screen type) Ventilation: 3/5 (They work great, but the chin vent is an arse to find when moving) Value: 4/5 (Sells for £299.99 but I got mine for £220. But I would of paid £299.99 for it) Overall: 4/5 I really love this helmet. Admittedly this design may not be everyone's taste but there are plenty of good ones, including a Sykes replica. The padding is nice and deep and creates a brilliant fit. The visor isn't a ratchet design, but you can adjust its stiffness to keep it open if you wish. It has a nice side catch to lock it shut and a built in sun visor that works wonders. Goodbye sunglasses on an iffy day, just pop the sun visor up and down. Noise is hard to judge as I changed bike at the same time, but I think the thicker visor on the speed-r does make a reduction in noise. For motorway riding or track days, still wear ear-plugs is my advice. The helmet uses a Double D chin strap, which feels nice and secure. No worries about a catch breaking. I'd buy this helmet again without a second thought. At 1.45 Kg it's a nice weight, but feels up to the task.
  18. Moo I use an oxford Titan disc lock. I also plan to get an Oxford hardcore xl chain. About £80 but looks beefy.
  19. Never ridden with a chain draped, don't plan to... Working on basis of do best I can and cross everything else
  20. It should be noted that bikes can't always take corners as quickly as a car can. Mainly because 4 tires vs 2 does mean a grip difference... Defo look through the turn though. That does help more than you would think.
  21. Disc lock goes everywhere so it always has that and the alarm/immobiliser built in. The alarm hurts my ears so any grotty teenagers will hopefully be put off by it. Think I will get the Oxford Hardcore XL for when it's in the garage with a ground anchor and something like an Oxford Barrier or Oxford GP if they will fit under the seat of the Thundercat. I'm sure they will put off the average bugger who would try wheel it away, but I imagine even a £200 chain will be useless if it's a determined thief.
  22. Cheers guys, It's a fairly quiet and nice neighborhood but you never know.... Will be moving soon, so looking for a garage actually attached to the house (but hey, it's out of sight for thieves atm) If I am out and about, likely either going to be parking in town, or at a relative/mate who is fairly well tucked out the way or in a nice area.
  23. Had the disc lock years so OK with that one! Fully aware if they want it, they will get it. Looks like hefty chain may be the best option for home. I have an Oxford Titan disc lock atm. Would you recommend upgrading it? The alarm goes off on the bike if you so much as have a breeze blow on it...
  24. Hey guys and gals, I need a new chain(s) to lock up the bike. Currently have a ground anchor in current garage, so either need a chain that can go through that and be transportable on a Thundercat, or 2 chains (1 for the ground anchor and 1 to take on the bike). Currently have an alarm/immobilizer on the bike and an Oxford Titan disc lock, but really feel a chain is a no-brainer. How do you transport a chain as well on bikes like this? My only thought is putting under the seat, but feel this may take me down the 2 chain route... My thoughts are to use an Oxford HD chain or Oxford barrier for out and about and an Oxford Hardcore XL with the ground anchor.
