  1. Anyone going this year? I am at the Leeds installment on the Saturday. Nice number of ska-punk bands playing especially the mighty Capdown. And a good bit of pop-punk with The Ataris and All American Rejects.

    I quit my job!

Glad your happy. Onwards and upwards.
  3. Ah the boots make everything better..... Think I am gonna steer clear of Facebook!
  4. Can I use the one of you laying over a sopping bike in very short denim shorts? Haha I have no problem with that ... im guessing you havnt found the one in helmet and hotpants then :P
  5. I think the original point was a bit lost in the way it was presented. Obviously the OP has a friend who has drifted away and is starting to bad mouth him. So rather than waste time and effort on someone who clearly isn't a friend, he has cut him loose and will focus on better things in life. Tbh, I've had people like that, where no matter how much you try to keep in touch, they cba. I don't bother with those people anymore and focus on those who do want to know me.
  6. I know I was meant to pm you my number too, sorry chick I forgot I had ice on the inside of my tent...and my boots were covered in it (from when I had to pee in middle of night) You had a pee in your boots?!
  7. I'm a biker and ice hockey player... Tough luck for them if they pick me
  8. Hope to be coming (first one). So glad I got the 'Cat that actually works....
  9. Bmwdave, can't remember your bike but rst Tractech Evo waterproof boots are really comfy and only about 139
  10. Damn wish I had known about that! Planning to decorate my go kart helmet with some Super Sic and 58 stickers tonight or tomorrow. Though I should really have found a Senna helmet for this weekend...
  11. I'd heard that's the worst you can do, as your screen gets a coat of water and your visor still will as well. As a result you end up looking through visor, water, screen, water and can seriously hamper your view. Never tried it myself, I've always kept my head in the clouds
  12. Looks like I will be testing the Drift Ghost HD on Sat when karting, as long as they are happy the mount isn't going to fly off. Will YouTube the footage if anyone wants to see how bad I am
  13. Sounds odd the water not clearing off the visor when you were traveling. I've never had an issue in the wet apart from spray from cars reducing distance you can see. I imagine there are products out there you can apply to the visor to encourage the water to bead and dispel off the visor. Not sure how well they work though.
  14. Go karting, pizza and PS4 with my mates in Bristol. And if I man up and get my Drift Ghost HD, testing that on track
  15. Love this song too for biking. Though last name is Wylde so can't escape all the association either!
  16. I've decided to get a Drift Ghost HD (sister's BF uses one for skiing and motorbike too.). Only question is, whats the audio like without the external mic? Anyone got an example of the audio they have taken with a stock Drift HD with no external mic?
  17. Mounts are fairly similar in price on amazon. Just not sure I can justify the GoPro prices even if I do go skiing or play ice hockey.
  18. I've read this thread and I am at a total loss as to what camera to get... I was thinking the GoPro as I can use that in ice hockey and skiing as well as on the chest mount on the bike... But the contour roam 2 is a damn site cheaper. But doesn't necessarily look like it has the mounting versatility.. Can anyone clarify the situation for me?
  19. Rocking All Over The World - Status Quo
  20. I'm in Newbury but soon to be Basingstoke if you fancy meeting up for a ride
  21. I've had this helmet just shy of a month. Specifically this one: http://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcy ... rod/194056 For those who can't be bothered reading a load of text I'll do a quick score breakdown: Comfort: 4/5 (Lose one due to wind guard catching on my chin) Noise: 4/5 (Seems noisier than my old RST, however am on a quicker bike now with different screen type) Ventilation: 3/5 (They work great, but the chin vent is an arse to find when moving) Value: 4/5 (Sells for £299.99 but I got mine for £220. But I would of paid £299.99 for it) Overall: 4/5 I really love this helmet. Admittedly this design may not be everyone's taste but there are plenty of good ones, including a Sykes replica. The padding is nice and deep and creates a brilliant fit. The visor isn't a ratchet design, but you can adjust its stiffness to keep it open if you wish. It has a nice side catch to lock it shut and a built in sun visor that works wonders. Goodbye sunglasses on an iffy day, just pop the sun visor up and down. Noise is hard to judge as I changed bike at the same time, but I think the thicker visor on the speed-r does make a reduction in noise. For motorway riding or track days, still wear ear-plugs is my advice. The helmet uses a Double D chin strap, which feels nice and secure. No worries about a catch breaking. I'd buy this helmet again without a second thought. At 1.45 Kg it's a nice weight, but feels up to the task.
