1. I quite like the wtf setting. Toasty
2. I don't want my bike rusting to oblivion so it's tucked up for the winter. That and I do not trust my tyres in the wet and cold.
3. Only time I had an issue was when I swapped a battery and put the connectors on the wrong way round.... Found out the hard way when they didn't warm my hands up.
4. Unlucky LifeofPhil . At least you are here to tell us
5. I remember doing cycling profiency at primary school. I see a lot of lycra clad twats who need to do that. And read a highway code to understand a red light means stop. I will teach my kids to ride a bike but if they ride like an idiot I'll get stabilisers welded on their bike.
6. If your kid hasn't even reached the 18 month mark yet, I can't wait to see your posts at that point. I couldn't tell my arse from my elbow I was so tired at one point.
7. My local GPs are shit as well and the stupid f*cking piece of crap system they put in place for appointments can do one too. When I had my cornea scratched I decided not to waste a&e time and contact my GP. 4 hours after the issue was raised on their online system, my partner called to find they hadn't even looked at it. We are waiting for a call back to get my toddler checked as they haven't responded and didn't answer the phone. Southmead hospital and the Emerson's Green center are both fantastic. Southmead A&E is amazing and when I had my hernia done at Emerson's, they where equally amazing. I think it would be fair to say it GPs weren't so appalling, stresses on A&E would be reduced. People go to where they know they get treated properly....
8. Was a nasty accident and my gut felt there was a bike issue involved from what I saw. Maybe downshifted too fast and caused it to seize or it did it on its own accord, but the punishment didn't meet the crime regardless. RIP Dan.
9. @RantMachine needs to see this so he can mock you I don't think he needs to see this to be able to mock Beefy. Though my autocorrect wanted me to say kick rather than mock.
10. Nice Clean Bike Heated Grips make a big difference this time of year And good for you for flying the flag for the lady bikers I bloody love my heated grips. Life saver they are.
11. If Iannone was prepared to keep riding after nutting a seagull at Phillip Island, I think you will be fine.
12. My grandfather took me as a kid to see it in the 90s. Was just as great back then. One day I will take my girls.
13. As you'd be going to Utah there is a great drive up burger bar in Roy called Burger Barn just above Salt Lake city. It features on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives. The joys of having a partner from that area means I also have valid locals knowledge. I also know a good Mexican place up that way. I can also recommend Mariposa if you go to Yosemite (stay there, had a good Mexican there too and a couple of good bars) and if you visit San Francisco, pat's café does a great breakfast. Also hoover dam and grand canyon have to be on any list. My mind was blown by both, the grand canyon actually left me speechless.
14. The Bonneville salt flats are amazing but you will want to refuel at the last big service stop on the highway. You then have an hour or so of nothing but pretty much untouched land till you get there. Be warned it is windy as hell out there though.
15. You do know that there's no risk, that was just a myth. http://www.ukpia.com/industry_issues/health-and-safety/mobile-phones-on-forecourts.aspx That says low risk not no risk. Clearly that lot didn't rest a Note 7
16. You where at a petrol station and you answered a call on your phone?
17. That is what I used at my lock up, where access to water was a nearby tap. https://www.screwfix.com/p/green-pressure-sprayer-7ltr/51100?kpid=51100&ds_rl=1245250&gclid=Cj0KCQiA84rQBRDCARIsAPO8RFwF3GV11_UvkCayfFK47USS6YFchLFcp8NKQ120HnwthcQV7xv1oY0aAvxGEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds&dclid=CP3JjIvrr9cCFSak7QodZZ8ABw £8 for a 7 litre one which would not be too heavy to easily carry. Guys, that is bloody brilliant idea. I'll get my sister some Muc-Off Products then as I know they work
18. Weird question I know but, has anyone found some general cleaning products that don't need rinsing off but can clear crud off a bike? My sister lives in a flat and I'm not sure if she has a hose point she can use so trying to work out ways she can keep it looked after.
19. I was worried by his first post. Almost decent English and proper punctuation. His 2nd post allayed all fears. Welcome back!
20. Nope ! Well highway code says directional on all primary routes for green rectangle, so my phrasing was a little off I guess. Also why the hell is the highway code still using a BR blue intercity train for the image of an automatic half crossing?! It was the black and white scheme when I was a kid and BR blue well preceded that!
21. White on green signage is for all A roads isn't it? Whether dual or single carriageway. Other than motorways, a roads and level crossings I'm trying to think then the hell else I have seen them.
22. 10/10 here. too easy, but I will admit I came across a new one doing that. Still too easy to work out what it meant though.
23. I had a hernia op on Saturday and the medical staff where great. The administration staff where pretty useless as I waited over an hour without information really forthcoming. However I would use that location again as the nurses, surgeon and anaesthesatist where all great. Just the receptionist who was as much use as a chocolate teapot.
24. Saw Sweet Little Machine, Mad Caddies, Anti Flag and Reel Big Fish last night in Bristol. Good times and can't beat a punk crowd telling Trump to go f*ck himself.
