  1. One thing to consider when riding in France is the use of super bright LED lights. If you have LED auxiliary lights it's best to switch them off while in France it really irritates French drivers and the Police take a dim view of it (pardon the pun). It's not illegal but it really irks them. You'll get people flashing and waving their arms about and shouting obscenities at you
  2. I'm sure someone will be along shortly to answer your question, because I AM old (62 last Thursday) and passed my test when I was 16 so none of the A1 A2 CBT malarky. Just an examiner walking around the streets and jumping out on you to do an emergency stop.
  3. I am meeting a couple of mates at The Olive, Barnby Dun at 11.30am You will receive a warm welcome and I might even buy a coffee. ClickyMappy Here
  4. I've never seen Bourbon biscuits on sale at the NEC, but then again I've never looked
  5. The last time we went was 2015 and it wasn't as good as other years but still busy.
  6. The point I was trying to make was, the fact that there are big queues shows that it must be a popular event.
  7. It's a bit like saying, nobody shops at Sainsburys because the queues are too long
  8. The pencil type gauges are amazingly accurate, I use a PCL Digital Tyre inflator http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PCL-Digital-Tyre-Inflator-With-Calibration-Certificate-And-1-8M-Hose-/132194264019?epid=535060807&hash=item1ec76463d3:g:c3UAAOSwSclXK4uC I keep one of these on the bike http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Michelin-12279-Programmable-Digital-Tyre-Pressure-Gauge-With-Led-Storage-Pouch-/272483582424?epid=1357392277&hash=item3f714981d8:g:fLMAAOSwxCxT9d05 The PCL is very very accurate and comes with a calibration certificate. I check the Michelin against the PCL to see what the difference is and I can make the necessary adjustment in my head when on the road. I almost never check my tyres when travelling unless I detect a problem.
  9. I could be tempted
  10. I'll try to remember that you asked These occasions are usually midweek and only occasionally at weekends. If that suits you let me have your email address and I'll add you to my mailing list, oh and by the way, we are old duffers so as long as that also suits you too.
  11. At £20 a year that's only 39p a week, doesn't seem bad to me.
  12. Not a regular ride out but I do have a group that meet fairly regularly. Today we had a ride to the Fair Garden Centre at Kirton in Lindsey. We talked rubbish with a spattering of gibberish and a good time was had by all.
  13. ITN Converter has a bit of a glitch at the moment, I have told Benior but he hasn't responded. Basically if you put a waypoint within about 7-8 miles of the Meridian line it automatically snaps to the Meridian and gives you a 0.00000 latitude. This only happens if you save a route in ITN. I have been using Tyre to create routes and ITN to check them.
  14. The "Click Here" s are not working
  15. Hello here too Javier
  16. I think once caught they should be sprayed with acid so they can see what it's like.
  17. Thank you for your endorsement, no need to be so formal call me Rae I organise lots of ride outs and weekends away throughout the year, but I rarely put them on forums, I have a group of people that I know I can ride with and they get the invites. I do on the odd occasion put up rides on various forums to see what happens and maybe pick up a new rider.
  18. Then again, he may say b0!!0cks and leave, depending on the nature of his swearing preference.
  19. Hi all, I have a day pass tomorrow and wondered if anyone fancies a ride and a coffee somewhere. I'm not fussy where.
  20. The Biker Guide lists most events.
  21. I thought we had a new ferry port, seeing as it was mentioned twice.
  22. Where the hell is Horwich ??
  23. Or you could have said I'm a bit skint, can I pay on the drip?
  24. Hello Leighton, if you put your location in your profile people will be able to make targeted recommendations.
