The plan is to leave the Premier Inn Beverley at 9.30 am, at the back of the hotel by the entrance to the shopping centre car park is a large area where we will gather.
  6. A word of advice, be very careful and take it slow.
  7. Just a bump for this thread, the weather on Saturday looks to be mostly grey with no rain, but that could change either way to rain or sun, who knows

    ELECTRICAL FAULT

So you did do some work on the bike, taking the horn off is working on the bike. You would have been as well leaving the old horn in place and waiting for a replacement. You'll be fine now, maybe next time seek advice before getting the spanners out.

    ELECTRICAL FAULT

It was remiss of me not to have asked if you had done any work on the bike recently, it's normally the first place to start.

    ELECTRICAL FAULT

It sounds like you have found your problem. Lesson learned, don't leave exposed wires dangling. Oh and by the way it's illegal to ride without a horn, they are as cheap as chips and available almost everywhere, so no excuse

    ELECTRICAL FAULT

Well in as much as the battery supplies electrckery to the bike I suppose all electrical problems trace back to the battery eventually. However the battery will not be responsible for the fault that is blowing the fuse. The loose horn wires might be. Tape up the horn wires individually if possible or at least make sure they are insulated from each other and everything else.

    ELECTRICAL FAULT

I think you mean Petcock and you are right it has nothing to do with the electrical problems, It also will not be the battery.

    ELECTRICAL FAULT

Why are you looking for a new battery?

    ELECTRICAL FAULT

It sounds like you have a bare wire somewhere that is occasionally touching something it shouldn't. It normally occurs near the headstock as you turn the bars. That's where I would start.
  18. If you are going Tango and you'de like to meet up I'll PM you my number. Or just be at the Marriott for 12.
  19. So that makes me a northerner again ...... damn
  20. I think you may be mistaking me for a Yorkshireman, I'm a Londoner born and bred I just live in Yorkshire, so I'm even more southern than you are. To someone that lives in Wick we are all southerners, it's all relative. So in relative terms it make you a northerner
  21. If anyone wants to meet up with us we are meeting at the Marriott Peterborough (near the showground) at 12 midday. We'll go in get changed into civvies then walk to the showground.
  22. I'll be there with a mate on the 13th and staying the night at the Marriott Hotel nearby.
  23. I'd be miserable too if I had to give away my tea and bacon sandwiches.
  24. I don't remember having cold feet when I wore Sealskinz, but it was a while ago.
  25. I bought some Sealskinz a few years ago but since I got my Altberg boots I haven't worn them. If your boots are not completely waterproof they are great.
