  1. OK OK you win we'll have some deviants along
  2. I'm not sure about deviants on the ride, we have to keep our standards up you know
  3. If you like your legs just the way they are then get some protection.
  4. Go on then enlighten me Sorry Stu, the only way to find out about my weather mojo is to turn up on the day. I will make sure it is fully charged.
  5. C'est la vie You obviously haven't heard of my weather mojo
  6. Here is a link to download the route files. As you probably already know, the .itn file is for older Tomtoms and the .gpx files are for Garmins. The newer Tomtoms can handle both types of file, but I would advise using the .itn file. The NMW in the route file title signifies No Motorways so set your device to avoid motorways. https://1drv.ms/f/s!AkC-5yVQD9HUtelLW2yUhZF97vXZsA
  7. C'mon Stu man up, a bit of rain won't hurt you, that's why you pay lots of dosh for waterproof gear, you might as well get your monies worth. The Yorkshireman in you must want to get the best value out of your motorbike gear.
  8. What sort of weather is it you don't ride in?
  9. The event is technically a EuroKClub event with an invite extended to TMBF, I'm not sure how many if any TMBF members will be there. I plan to set off at 9.30.
  10. Take a trip to Altbergs and get measured properly
  11. Well, going on the ferry on the bike if you want to be precise We rarely go anywhere without the bike. If on the odd occasion we have to take the car because of bad weather, my wife gets quite miffed that we cannot take the bike.
  12. As you can see I like my foreign jaunts myself. We are off to Spain in September
  13. Will you be getting an extra wife in each consequtive photo? Nah, I love the one I've got.
  14. I'm going back to France in June, with my wife this time.
  15. We stayed at the Old Tom. The Old Tom is a modern restaurant bar downstairs. The upstairs rooms are slightly tired, my bathroom was newly refurbished and modern. It is perfectly adequate. There was only one fly in the ointment when we were there, there is building work going on next door and the Kango started at 7am.
  16. This was our fist stop, Ypres (Ieper) The Old Tom Hotel http://i1282.photobucket.com/albums/a540/raesewell1/Duffers%202017/Duffers%20017_zpsizba3swn.jpg The journey from the tunnel to Ypres was pretty uneventful and in bright weather. We parked six bikes in two car parking spaces at about 4.30 with free parking after 6.00 we took a chance and didn’t get a ticket. http://i1282.photobucket.com/albums/a540/raesewell1/Duffers%202017/Duffers%20016_zpsgl6utlkb.jpg Three of the Duffers, from left to right, John, Rae, Mike http://i1282.photobucket.com/albums/a540/raesewell1/Duffers%202017/Duffers%20018_zpscd2bapck.jpg A cameo shot on the train John, Rae and Lucian http://i1282.photobucket.com/albums/a540/raesewell1/Duffers%202017/Duffers%20015_zpscz5j1g7y.jpg Relaxing in the sun for a lunch stop, Rae, John, Glen, Lucian http://i1282.photobucket.com/albums/a540/raesewell1/Duffers%202017/Duffers%20007_zps4r66tm8k.jpg A coffee at the terminal John, Rae, Lucian, Mike, Glen. http://i1282.photobucket.com/albums/a540/raesewell1/Duffers%202017/Duffers%20001_zps0slxxvqv.jpg A shot of the group on the train +1. I have no idea who the +1 is on the far left. He is Spanish and lives in London, what he is doing in our photo I have no clue, when I called the lads in for the photo he just rushed over to be part of the action. Left to right +1 no idea Mike, Glen, John, Rae, Paul, Lucian. http://i1282.photobucket.com/albums/a540/raesewell1/Duffers%202017/Duffers%20012_zpss7kdks7o.jpg All in all a very enjoyable trip and I think everyone is keen to go again next year. The only bad day we had was Wednesday travelling from Etretat to Arras when it rained, hailed, sleeted and a quick flurry of snow. So contrary to common belief I changed the route on the fly to get us to our destination quicker so we could relax in the hotel bar. A nice coffee stop in Auxi le Chateau on our way from Ypres to Etretat. http://i1282.photobucket.com/albums/a540/raesewell1/Duffers%202017/Duffers%20003_zpsz14c8jhn.jpg The motley crew in the car park opposite the Auxi le Chateau coffee stop http://i1282.photobucket.com/albums/a540/raesewell1/Duffers%202017/Duffers%20011_zpslamhurji.jpg The Etretat Falaises (Cliffs) in the background. Paul had a burning desire to get to the top of the cliffs, so we just let him do his own thing. http://i1282.photobucket.com/albums/a540/raesewell1/Duffers%202017/Duffers%20010_zpsfzwumgj4.jpg
  17. Just got back from Arras and Ypres with Etretat in between
  18. I had a weeping fork seal on the FJR and SealMate worked for a few weeks but in the end I had to have them changed. It might buy you some time to save up to get the seals changed
  19. I should think so too, as it's on your doorstep Just give me a nod nearer the time.
  20. Google Motoliner
  21. Autocom are very good, I had one for a few years but I went Bluetooth because I was fed up with being tethered to the bike. My wife and I have Scala G4s and we can hear each other up to about 90, any more than that and I'm concentrating and not listening anyway
  22. If you choose the Northern France option take a look at a small seaside town called Etretat is a great little town with lots of bars, hotels and restaurants. Take a look around on street view and you'll see what I mean. https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@49.7081287,0.2039077,3a,75y,242.47h,90t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sdEzX_YuL6qEalGfuFxVJWQ!2e0!7i13312!8i6656?hl=en I am leading a small group to France in a couple of weeks time and Etretat is one of our stops for the night.
  23. There were lots of Power Rangers out today.
  24. This? http://buybits.com/1-socket-adaptor-plate-with-amps-4-hole-layout-fits-tomtom-rider-40-dock-sku-31738.html
  25. The short Ram arm is only a couple of inches.
