    new rider oil change

and smear a bit of new oil around the seal on the filter before you fit it. it really is an easy job!

    new rider oil change

ok the oil you have is no good! go to halford's or similar and buy some 20W40SE, it should say suitable for use in motorcycles on the container. Somewhere in your Haynes it will tell you how much you need! look in the capacities section, it might say sump then ***ml. or whatever. you will also need an oil filter ( look in haynes it will tell you). Then bike on centre stand, tray underneath, undo sump plug (big bolt on the bottom of engine) let old oil out. sump plug back in, change filter (screw old 1 off screw new 1 on), top up with new oil, make sure level is right(dip stick or glass window). done!
  14. I have to admit I don't really like riding in groups! It's another skill that needs to be learnt. The biggest thing I would say is don't get pushed into exceeding your limits! Our ride outs have worked out pretty well so far!
  15. well done! see! told you you'd be fine!
  16. well done! enjoy
  17. of course I'm coming Still prefer the idea of a room than the tent though!
  18. yes roy the racing is on sunday
  19. I/we are thinking of going to watch the bike racing, at tonfanau, on easter sunday! we had a good day there last time! anybody interested for this year? If enough interest we can turn it into the first big meet/rideouts of the year! I could maybe put a couple of people up the night before or the sunday night.or both For those that don't know tonfanau is a small race track, right on the coast, in mid wales. http://www.tonfanauroadracing.co.uk express any interest below and i will organise
  20. Hey! you haven't failed! you just haven't completed it yet! well done for getting back on! sure you'll be fine today!, good luck!
  21. well done!, good luck with the rest
  22. I use 1 at work to measure how much anti freeze is in the cooling system
  23. I've never done carbs but, at work, if we struggle to get a seal to stay put during assembly we hold it in with a dab of vaseline type stuff! can't see as that would do any harm.
  24. we might come and watch, depends what we do on the friday
