My opinion is it should be personal choice. The Poppies are known as a symbol of remembrance and respect. Demanding people wear something out of "respect" when they wish not to is disrespectful in my eyes. Equally, forbidding people not to wear a national symbol of respect is disrespectful too.

I aim for what ever part of the road is driest. So long as it is not the total left hand side, next to the pavement. Sometimes it happens to be in the tyre tracks of cars, other times it is the middle of the road. I also try and avoid all puddles, small wheels and underwater potholes are no fun

My rack bolts on to the four bolts under the seat (between the seat and the rear fender/mud guard. I'd guess most others do the same.

Depends on how often I ride it and the conditions. Probably every 300-500 miles I'll give it a good clean and adjust it if needed, more during winter when the roads are rubbish, less during summer. I tend to check it pretty much every time I get on the bike however. Half a can of chain wax sounds excessive to me? I tried the WD-40 chain wax and ended up having to replace the chain and sprockets as it gunked them up so much the chain got kinks in it I couldn't get loose. Possibly due to my chain being the smaller 420 rather than a 428 or bigger, I'm not sure. Now I just use normal chain lube (not picked a brand I prefer over others yet) and WD-40 chain cleaner, which is my new favorite thing. It cleans everything!

I'm still learning too, but it depends on the tyres how long they take to warm up. Stock Vee rubbers on my bike would only warm up when the ambient temperature was above 18°C and I had been out for 10min or so. The replacement Metzler feel free wintecs I put on warm up after 5min or so even in ambient temps for about 5°C. If the roads are damp/greesey then you need to take it easier anyways, warm tyres won't necessarily save you from the bike slipping.

If you are going for cheapness compared to power, Nexus 5X is a fantastic phone and can be bought for £265 out right Not sure about contracts, I've been sim only for the past 5-6 years. There are many great android phones out there to suit any price range. I've (possibly stupidly) pre-ordered the Google Pixel. Should be collecting it on Friday. It looks fantastic, but I'm still not sure if it will be worth the price tag.

We use a pair of Q3's here and never had any problem with them. Both using android phones. Battery life on them is excellent too

Totally agree. We've had a tiny Jack Russell to my mums current dog Hooch (dog de bordeaux) and I still say Jock the jack Russell was by far the most aggressive by nature. He was also the only one we had that was known to be from a puppy farm... (all dogs were/are rescues) Hooch on the other hand is a massive gentle giant. His signal for "I've had enough of this walk" if to hold your hand in his mouth and calm walk back home/to the car like that, much to the shock of other walkers!

Any dog can turn aggressive for all sorts of reasons. training for both dogs and owners should be a requirements I think. The "dangerous" dog breeds list is not accurate in my book. I have known many staffies in particular, 90% of them were some of the best family dogs I've ever been around. Extremely good with kids and very calm around strangers. The other 10% are ones I know to be owned by the low lifes of the town, they are left to run riot, no guidance or training and the owners actively encourage them to fight each other, and people. I blame the owners/keepers/breeders. Some dogs are more prone to "violence" just as some people are, but those dogs should not be bred from in my opinion. It is the breeders responsibly to breed calm dogs for the pet/show trade. Working dogs should not be kept as pets by most people in my opinion. There will always be some pups that have been bred from two calm adults that may have an aggressive streak, but in most cases this can be trained out. Edit: A licence to breed and sell dogs would be my preference.

I complety agree Joe. In my experience of job hunting there appears to be a split in the industry. Those companies that value people who can do the job well, regardless of who they are or what bits of paper they have. And those companies that want to look great, have as many graduates as possible, regardless of what quality of work they get from their people. Even though I don't have a degree, I apply for any job I feel I am capable of doing. Always succeed in getting and interview (!) but on a number of them, I could tell from the moment I walked into the building I did not want to work for them. These turned out to be ones that (thankfully) turned me down after an interview because I didn't have a degree. Complete waste of everyone's time to invite me to an interview if they are that hung up on it imo. I work alongside many people with multiple degrees each, most of them freely admit that degrees should not be a measurement of someones knowledge and abilities. We have a running joke in IT that we should test interviewees on their ability to Google

It is starting too in the IT world too. I'm lucky that where I work values experience as much as a degree, but those companies are few and far between. The job I have just been promoted to was advertises as requiring a degree or "extensive work experience and knowledge". Many job adverts for 2nd line IT support and above, or any sort of specialism , have a degree under the requirements list and don't even mention taking experience into consideration. Which for me as stupid, as there were not many IT related degrees 10-15 years ago! Once my new role and work load settles down a bit, I'm probably going to start on an open uni degree. It will take 5-7 years, but I can see me "needing" those letters after my name if I ever leave this place.

Someone (Glorian?) once recommended spraying it liberally onto a rag then wiping it on, I tried that last time around and it worked wonders! No hassle with masking off tyres and brakes, certainly makes the experience less miserable. I still sprayed the engine a little, just to make sure it got in all the nooks and crannies. Obviously there's a bit more waste due to the rag soaking some of it up, but I value my spare time more than I value my ACF50! I do half and half with ACF50. The "top bit" of the engine and under the plastics gets sprayed, the rest gets wiped down with a ACF50 damp cloth. I've not noticed a problem with putting too much on, other than when it heats up it forms white smoke!

I have the K5, bought it earlier this year. Overall I like it. It is very comfortable, can easily wear it all day if need be. There is loads of vents and all can be open or closed so you can make it as cold or are warm as you like. The internal sunvisor has came in pretty useful, so has the pinlock. I do however find it more noisy than my previous Shark S900.

RST gear seems to get good reviews, so long as it fits you. (Most of their kit is too long in the arms/legs for me) I do have a pair of their gloves and they have lasted very well. As for the helmet, have you tried it on? Helmets are not universal fits. Everyone's head is slightly different, even if it is the same circumference. Different brands/models fit some people better than others. It is the fit of a helmet more than the cost that will save you. For £200 you'll have a massive choice of brands and models. I'd strongly suggest visiting a shop and trying on as many as possible to get the best fit for you. I had a shark s900 and cannot fault it, other than it was slightly the wrong shape for my head. My new helmet, agv k5 (also in your price range) is exceptionally comfortable, but has a bit more wind noise than the shark. I've not personally had any other brands to compare them too.
