  1. Not really in the spirit of the Challenge. We are accepting 'The Cock Inn' as well as The Cock. Sorry but we have to draw the line somewhere.
  2. Got a sizable refund through Visa. Own a Bandit. I'm still alive. The Falcon has 15 Real Ale pumps on the bar and it is only a couple of miles away from home.
  3. Years May Come, Years May Go - Herman's Hermits
  4. Having looked at the pillion seat on an R3, I'm not crazy about this idea I'll have room Oli!
  5. Final Day - Tokio Hotel
  6. It may be a combination of a duff switch and a duff fan. Disconnect all the feeds to the right/hand connector unit (looking at your last picture) and move the yellow and grey wires that feed the left hand stich (to the light) up onto the spare connections. Assuming the bulb is OK, then you should get the light working. If so - This switch is (partially) knafooed. The fans are usually sold as a sealed unit. But.... with a voltmeter (set to 240vac range) you should be able to find where the power gets to and take it from there. Good luck!
  7. G@@Gle is your friend. The service manual shows points & condensor - However, there is a post production modification to fit electronic ignition. Get a copy of the manual and you will be able to see where the points are; how to access them; and how to check they operate correctly. There are various free downloads (check with a virus checker before opening) or, Haynes has a manual for your bike.
  8. Also, have you moved the mixture screw? This will affect running (but usually noticed through throttle response). Clogged air filters / tank breathers / split carb intake rubbers / etc. can all affect idle speeds.
  9. Its all part of the learning experience! Get a Haynes and read it before doing any maintenance - That will certainly help (especially with identification of the correct bolt).
  10. Especially 'crashing' the wedding / commenting on the two 'numpty' riders / drinking beer / helping (well standing around offering advice) guys put up their tents / etc. / etc.
  11. Yeah, but think about the savings made in not having to buy fuel for ride-outs!!
  12. Why, did she spell it wrong?
  13. Papa's Got A Brand New Bag - James Brown
  14. Good luck Alan - I wish you well in your new adventure. But.... Who the h@ll is going to wear that nurse's outfit now? I'll miss the laughs, the beer, more beer, more laughs and the beer.
  15. I suppose adjusting your sussies could affect countersteering?
  16. Rich Girl - Hall and Oats
  17. Internal walls are not usually made from wood (unless you live in Sweden or the USA).
  18. Love Me In A Special Way - DeBarge
  19. It is! Or is it? Bugger! F**k It
  20. Simples, Remove all removables from the room. Cover anything you don't want to paint. Put a camping stove in the centre of the room. Light stove and place the (unopened) paint can on the burner. Exit and wait for the 'bang'. Job done!
  21. Nowt this year. In the past I once took her (surprise) to Paris and got a lovely little hotel (suite and private lift) 'on spec', just off the top of the Champs Elisie. Booked a table at a 'closed' restaurant (through the hotel reception) and had a superb meal, entertainment and a fresh rose given her by the staff. She was 'happy' for about 6 months after that!
  22. (In Touch With) Your Feminine Side - Alice Cooper
  23. Dropped in on my return from t'pub. Last (and only) message was from Lou who advised she was 'off to write up some notes (on teef)'. Ah well - I'm fated never to be on when the rest of the gang are there.
