  7. Simple way to find out which 'wire' is duff. Using a lenght of insulated wire, cross connect the blacke/white wire to both indications (i.e. in parrallel). Try the indicators. 1. Both work independently = The black/white wire to the 'duff' indicator is open circuit. 2. Both work simultaneously when switched to the 'good' indicator = The 'other' wire on the 'duff' indicator is open circuit. 2a. Does not work when switched to the 'duff' indicator = As per 2 above. 3. Both don't work = ??????? Looks like you have shorted something when cross-connecting and have now 'blown' the fuse.
  8. Installing a relay is very easy and should be done. There are details on this forum showing you how and explaining why (so I won't repeat here) - If needed, I can send you the full details (PM me). It does not matter wether red or black is connected first.
  9. I have a 3-pin relay (as stated in the Haynes manual ) that works perfectly. I also have a 4-pin one that, if you remove one pin with some shears, might work (but this is not detailed in the Haynes manual ). Yours for £50 (inc P&P). NB. I'll also include a copy of the Haynes manual for free (It only cost me a few minutes of time to locate and download a PDF version from t'internet). NB - I am an 'old' member (in more watys than 1)
  10. OK.... First: Tightly wrap the hump with one layer of clingfilm. Second: Using a paper mache mix, cover the rear of the hump ensuring that you have completely covered the area that you need to put the 'window' in including a reasonable overlap (1cm max) and allow to set (dry). Third: Carefully remove the 'mold' and replace the cling-film (inside the mold) if damaged. Forth: Using a high-grade polymer clear plastic sheet (available from good model-maker shops or t'internet) and a hair dryer (for heat application) gently heat the film and push into the mold until a near-perfect fit is achieved. Fifth: Allow to cool and remove from the mold. Sixth: Trim edges to give the correct amount of overlap to allow fitting into the hump. Voila!
