  1. Use a tube in the nozzle of the freeze spray to ensure you only cool the studs.
  2. www.pdf-manual.com/vehicle/.../manual-c ... 67581.html FREE download.
  3. I assume this is a second-hand bike which has no warranty (otherwise you would have taken it back to the point of sale). Do all your other electrics work OK? If so, it may be the bulb or the wire to it. Quick search on line shows the 'user handbook' for this model - can't post the link as the work pc won't allow it. Try 'giggle' for your model's handbbook.
  4. Why bother? You can 'play' with your current fairings - a bit of cut and shape here and there, change the colour scheme, add/remove decals etc.
  5. I was outbid on the costume I wanted (fleabay) - It went for £35 and I had a 'limit' of £32 on 'autobid'. Hope it wasn't one of you lot!!! NB. The Freddy Kruger costume came complete with mask and 'claws'. Have to start looking again!
  6. And less of the 'old'........
  7. And it will connect with your mobile or Sat Nag.
  8. I don't know about house design but a truss can certainly dictate how you ride (or so I'm told)!
  9. And once the countersteering debate ends, can we have 'nodding'?

  12. Easy enough. Just fit a switch and relay. Any on/off handlebar mounting switch will do. The relay will need to route power to all four leads to the indicators on seperate contacts (or, you could use in-line isolation diodes) to prevent 'issues' when the hazards are off and you use your normal idicators.

  14. The SW tags get you into the general area for good roads - If you are 'sightseeing' as well, I can recomend Port Issac, Fowey (pronounced 'Foy'), Polperro and the Lizzard as 'must see' places. 'B-Roads' across Bodmin, Exmoor and Dartmoor are generally good (but watch out for 'grockles' and sheep as well as the 'emmets'). Coastal roads tend to get clogged up with traffic during summer months making riding difficult. For really good roads and stunning scenery, then head off into Wales (again check out the Challenge 100 Tags).
  15. NOTD (yesterday actually) was the Polish Reg Car Driver (female) that tailgated me (in t'volvo) into the entrance to the local pub car park. No room to park so, into reverse (reversing lights come on) and she sits and flashes her headlights. I gesture that I need to reverse and even put my hazard lights on. She eventually reverses onto the road but stops again preving me from going out onto the road so, I 5-point shuffle to park on the pavement alongside the wall next to the carpark entrance. She then goes into the car park - finds that there is nowhere to park (and there is no room to turn around in there either) so she reverses back out onto the road before driving off! What a Nob.
  16. OK - Some missing information? Does it cut out with 1/4 throttle applied and then choke off? If NOT - Then it is likely to be the mixture. Hold 1/4 throttle (with choke off) and turn mixture scew (slowly) either in or out (50:50 choice). If revs climb, then back off throttle carefully and continue adjusting the screw in the same direction until revs start to dip, back up a touch and it should now be OK. If revs don't change, then turn the screw the other way. If Revs peak but don't then dip even with the screw either fully in, or fully out, then you have either a fuel restriction (check filters, carb settings) or an air problem (check filters, gators, etc.).
  17. I use Parrafin as a cleaning agent. Clutch holding tool can be made at home - Fozzie is sure to have a tip! Torque Wrench is a very handy tool to own - But, I rebuilt engines for many years without one Also pretty essential for a strip down is a can/spray of WD40 (or PlusGas). Top tip: Take your time and if uts/bolts downt seem to want to move, then liberal application of WD40/PlusGas and WAIT should have it moving. If not, then time to get an impact driver. All the best.
  18. Hahn Airport and that crap Irish airline? Hope he gets back soon or he'll miss the good weather!
  19. I don't have any 'last years badges' showing and the 'points' are this year's!
  20. Not again! I got booted quite quickly last time! Maybe I should have picked a different 'Herb' name - maybe 'Parsley'?
  21. Look at it this way - You want to learn all about motorcycle engines? Then take this oppurtunity - Do a full strip down, clean and inspection. If there is more significant damage elswhere, then replace the complete engine, if not, then rebuild the top end, put everthing back together (new gaskets / seals are a must). As to the top end rebuild, re-bore if it will take it, or, get the barrel turned out and a sleeve fitted. or even replace the cylinder for a new one, new piston, etc. If you get stuck somewhere on the tear down, take piccy, explain your problem and someone on here is bound to have the answer! Go for it!
