    Just to confuse even more, the GSF1250 wave washer is the other way round
  4. Lets face it. The metric system was invented for people who can not multiply and divide in anything but base 10 numbers. while I'm at it lets bring back The farthing HalfPenny and groat. ( Don't remember the groat) .
  5. According to the BBC weather Friday is fine. So all being well I'm on for a ride out.
  6. Re- connect the fuel pipe, turn the fuel tap on then open the carb drain screw and then check the fuel flow through the system. If no fuel flows out through the drain then either the tap is faulty or the carb inlet is blocked.

  10. What are your thoughts for Friday, weather does not sound too promising. I will have a look at the forecast but if it's gonna be wet then think will scrub. Just seen the local forecast for Friday. not good, rain most of the day so I think we should give it a miss.
  11. As above fan should rotate easily. Re the temp gauge, probably wont move too much. My GPX would get just out of the cold box on most runs. Would only move half way up the gauge in the summer. On hot days in traffic would approach the hot zone and the fan would kick in and keep it at half wayish.

  14. The H4 base plate should ensure it goes into the housing the correct way.

    It's the fixed or stationary part of the alternator. Which generates the electricity and charges the battery.

  20. Thanks to [mention]Tango[/mention] for organising the meet. Was good to meet up with some new and some familiar faces. Run out was good, grey but dry. Few spits of rain on the way back. Then 5 min after getting home, heavy rain. So all in all a good run out.
