1. What is the cost of replacement cables/earpieces? The first ones were FOC. Didn't bother the second time as I installed the Scala in helmet speakers.
2. Check the switches on the brake levers to see if they are stuck on.
3. I have custom moulded ones. I paid the extra to have removable speakers fitted. They can be removed and noise fitters fitted instead. The speaker cable was so thin that one side broke within 12 months. Emailed the supplier and no probs some new ones sent. These lasted about 2 years before the cable broke. Just use them as plugs now. I have scala in helmet speakers now and they are fine. So if you think of getting them with speakers in ask the vender how resilient the wires are.
4. And if I was to do it myself, who would I be giving money away to? whoever makes the bit that gets broken when you torque the bolts back up
5. Never bothered with the voice control, but i have set up the shortcut for "phone home". 3 taps on the phone button dials my home number.
6. Long shot but is there an old tax disc on it? If so might have a readable reg number on it. But you will need documentation to get a new plate mad up.
7. Check the front sprocket is being driven by the engine and is not loose. Seems a coincidence new chain and sprockets fitted 500 miles ago.
8. I remember the days when a 250cc bike was the highest of aspirations I remember when 250 was a learner bike. Mate had an RD250 and I wanted the Suzy X7. Never got it. Sorry
9. As Geof says big bikes are not brilliant on fuel, but if you pass the DAS for an un restricted license then you could go for a 250. Better for dual carriageways and still reasonable fuel consumption.
10. I use this https://the-cafe-racer.com/nikwax-visor-proof-300?gclid=Cj0KCQjw-JvaBRDGARIsAFjqkkqVts-4TWUas6Xx9sBtBQpOysgqsFA4QDdPRzJi671nxtTd2UMSWKEaAvB0EALw_wcB Clean the visor then apply. Rain will bead on it then a gentle look to the side and the wind blows the water away. As king says dont use the original Rain-x for glass. though i think they now do a vwersion for plastics.
11. Beans find a nice emptyish car park and just practice slow riding as in the Mod1. And as Mike says make sure you always have revs on and if you need to brake hard pull the clutch. It is hard to put in words how you actually ride in certain ways because eventually it will become second nature and you won't even think about what you are doing. If the pace is becoming too slow then just stop for a short time and allow a gap to open then ride to close it.
12. Yes on a decline do not be afraid of pulling the clutch in and just using the brake to control the speed. I quite often pull the clutch in and just roll.
13. Use revs, rear brake and clutch all the time with constant adjustments to achieve the speed you need.
14. Looks like something from Mad Max.
15. No 'cause if you hit a pothole you are likely to spill it.
16. You could always fit an automatic chain oiler. Several on the market.

19. When I did the seals on the GPX I needed the Broom handle.
20. If you use the A591 then detour into Grasmere and pick up some Sarah Nelson's Grasmere gingerbread.
21. Get a M20 nut and weld it to a bar. M20 is 30mm across the flats. Edit found this http://trimotorevival.blogspot.com/2015/06/a-tool-to-help-strip-trophy-trident-and.html
22. Has he still not got over you marrying his daughter
23. If you go to Skyeside take A592 from Windemere Kirkstone pass to Patterdale.
24. Visors are usually specific to the make of helmet.
