1. OK Thats fine Anyone else, we should be at Ponderosa 12:00 ish
2. Speedy23 Are we on for this, but need to start early and say aim for arrival about 12:00, which will get me back in time for the meal SWMBA has agreed to. If we go from Stratford aim to leave at 9:30 using this route. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1y8-qlBm7O2DCFbZp0VEzbYetWszJ2MN1&usp=sharing
3. Also look at ABBA stands. Initially more expensive but more flexible and sturdy. The main stand plus the front wheel lift allows both wheels to be off the floor. https://abbastands.co.uk/
4. That's fine if you are not going somewhere specific, but if you are doing the TMBF 2018 challenge for instance, then a SatNav is very useful in guiding you to the correct places.
5. Michel Barnier
6. As discussed with Speedy23 might not be available now.
7. No not at that visitor centre. As Speedy said it was the gliding club. Think it is the London Glidding Club.
8. With a dedicated satnav.. like the Garmin ZUMO. it would only route you down such minor roads if you have it set for 'shortest distance'. in normal circumstances it would bypass such roads and use 'B' roads as the minimum. My Garmin has often sent me down such roads when set to avoid motorways and curvy routes as Speedy23 can confirm. Also if you down load the tracks you can find out the various speeds traveled in each sector.
9. ......was it free parking?? Well we did not pay.
10. Thanks Speedy23 for leading. It was an interesting building at the gliding club, and a good lunch to boot, nice and healthy (no fry ups lol) Still working out the interest to be levied.
11. Outlast liners can be found on Weiss textile jackets from £320.
12. Looks like they should but to be 100% send them an email with all the details and ask for confirmation of the fitting kits. It does look like you will have to remove the GIVI rack though unless the fitting points can be shared. I have not used these items so I can not guarantee compatibility.
13. Brilliant
14. That first link makes no sence to me at all . My brain doesnt bode well with this kinda stuff . So i gotta get that evo rail, plus the adapters for kappa/givi monokey panniers and a kappa or givi box that supports monokey system Basically yes. If you open the first link then scroll down to ADAPTORS These are all the case adaptors that fit onto the EVO rails to enable you to fit various cases. As Gerontious has listed the various cases. the costs for the adaptors vary so GIVI- KAPPA is £20 SHAD is £38. BUT different adaptors are required for alloy or steel. I've use Givi as an example see list from Gerontious.
15. Yes I've seen these on a ZZR1400 and the guy has Givi luggage attached. Not sure if these fit with the Givi rack as well though. Looking at the site check the following https://www.sw-motech-shop.co.uk/allprods.php https://www.sw-motech-shop.co.uk/adapter-kit-for-carrier-2-pcs-for-givikappa-monokey-cases- So its £200 for the rack + £20 for the adapters +£*** for the paniers
16. you may need this https://www.harley-davidson.com/store/electrical-connection-upgrade-kit
17. GIVI do not list side panniers any more but they are available See here https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/207184 But note this from WEMOTO Complete GIVI Monokey Rack Kit Yamaha TDM 850 (96 - 01) Incompatible with tubular side case holder PLA336. If you are considering a possible three cases configuration buy PLA336 + PB02 (rear plate bridge kit). https://www.wemoto.com/bikes/yamaha/tdm_850_4txl/96-97/picture/givi_luggage_-_tubular_side_case_holders Not looking good for a GIVI system. Quick check does not show many other options for your bike.
18. This should cover all types of crimps https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/Jx-d5-5-in-1-Dies-Cable-Wire-Ratchet-Crimper-Crimping-Pliers-4-Spare-Tool-Kit/13009983355?iid=152795401798
19. fastbob Wemoto seems best price at the mo unless you buy a tin of biscuits (instead of cornflakes) and make your own gasket. i'll help you eat the biccies
20. Enjoyable write up goat . Carry on with the diary reports and pictures even with the car. It all makes good reading
