  4. I did mine and passed with Bikerite a few years ago. They were very good although the guy I had later moved to Carmyle Training who are based in Queenslie Ind estate. Though the other instructors at Bikerite were very good too. I would recommend them highly.
  5. I have Red Route ones, however I only wear them on short trips. Usually if going to work on the bike. Very nice jeans, and fully armoured as well. Think they are all round about the same price though.
  6. Sorry to hear that Bex.
  7. Anyone out and about today ? Thinking of heading out for a wee spin soon.

  9. Good guess.
  10. Rush to get all my cleaning done before sitting down to watch the football. Get it all done, sit down with a brew, and it has been postponed 2 hours before the kick off. Feel sorry for the fans travelling all that way, but feel more angry that I rushed about daft getting my (self imposed) chores done. F**k it, and f**k this league.
  11. What's it on ? And what are you hoping to do ? F**k it, my dinner isn't ready yet. The social and economic benefits of sustainable procurement in public sector construction projects.. What am I hoping to do? Get the next 5k words done rapidly! Hope dinner was worth the wait! What you gonna be, a QS ? What do you know about roofing ?
  12. What's it on ? And what are you hoping to do ? F**k it, my dinner isn't ready yet.
  13. What is wrong with your bikes Gayle ?
  14. Tak, you should head up to the J&S at Hamilton. They have loads, which will also have a liner you can remove for more summer riding. Plus you will be able to try them on. They usually have a sale most of the year too.
  15. Yeh no problem, I can meet you at the Welly for a run back down. I take it you will be going back via Inverary from there ?
  16. That is the main thing Ben. That you passed, so well done.
  17. hahahhahahahha thats made my day!!!! I´ll be the same .. serious "lollage" here cheers rats for cheering me up on a wet/ cold/ back shift today/ mate got her mod 2 tomorrow and so should i have/ shitty kinda day You are welcome. Get it done, and best of luck.
  18. No problem. One of the guys has pulled out actually, so there may be a ferry ticket going. As long as you don't mind camping ? This will be my 3rd year going.
  19. Kirsty, just wait until you have that feeling of passing. Everyone you pass in the street you just want to shout and tell them. In fact I did. I also got caught by a car driver while sitting at the lights, bike in neutral and punching the air with both hands while shouting "ya fecking beauty". Even just thinking about it will make you want to get it done.
  20. I had never rode a bike before, except as a pillion many years before. I did my CBT, then the weekend after bought a 125. A month after that I did my DAS and failed the test first time. A month after that I got another test date and passed, but had no more lessons. Just practiced on my 125, mostly U turns as that was what I had failed on. The mileage on my 125 when I sold it a week after my test was 700 miles. 200 of which was the big ride just after passing.
  21. There is a guy who is always in the Honda place in Glasgow, he is nearly 80 and still rides a Fireblade. And a guy who comes to teh TT with us every year, he usually rides a ZX6R. He is about 75 now, and this year he is taking his son's second bike. An SP1. Can't wait to see it when we all pull up at the Cregg, and he takes his helmet off as folk gather round, and there is the silver fox. Hopefully if I am still around at that age, I am well enough to still be able to ride.
  22. Great results mate. However I agree and was annoyed about the HP section too. They always go on about looking ahead at potential hazards, yet your score doesn't count if you click TOO early. So then you think it hasn't registered it and click again, then again, and then the next thing is it says you clicked too much. Surely they can find a better way to do it ? Like clicking ON the actual hazard may be an option, while leaving a wee dot or something on it so that you know it has registered your click.
  23. Could meet you at Hamilton Services (M74) and run down by Loch Lomond with you if acceptable ?
  24. Superb. Gotta love that Castrol Honda.
  25. Crap, i totally forgot - was in the shop last week as well My mates wee lad is taking up racing mini motos. So my mate tells Guy this while he is getting their picture taken with him. Guy's advice was "if you are not crashing, you are not trying hard enough". My mate was also chuffed as Guy said the scariest bike he has rode was a 98' R1. Also said he is looking to take his Martec to the TT and maybe do the Ramsay Sprint with it. And have you seen the trailer for the movie ? ">
