  1. Gayle is having a good run of luck right now isn't she ? Keep it up Gayle.
  2. Nice pics. Am a little jealous. Weather looks lovely.
  3. What model was it? 2008 When did you buy it and how much did it cost ? Purchased in 2008, £5,000 Good points ? For a first big bike it was excellent. Riding position, handling. Tipped into corners so easily. And quick enough for that first big bike experience. Comfy bike too, and a big tank. Comfortable at low revs. Bad points ? It's a Honda starter bike basically, so it's not gonna have many (if any). Would you get another ? No, as I have moved on to bigger and better things. Any other comments ? As a first big bike it was superb. Good and quick enough to pass a lot of other 600's on the Mountain Section at the IOM. Also carried a lot of luggage. I got a couple of mods for mine too. Radiator fairings, fly screen and belly spoiler. None of them were Honda, but were from a place In Holland that I can't remember the name of. http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u31/Ratser/Bike/IMGP0585.jpg
  4. Ok no worries.

  6. What model was it? 2008 When did you buy it and how much did it cost? Purchased brand new in 2008, £3,000 Good points? Excellent riding position for a learner, big bike too, runs like a dream and has superb range. Bad points? Can't really think of a bad point for what it is. Would you get another? No, as I have moved on to bigger and faster things. Any other comments ? Superb learner bike, especially for the larger person (of which I am not). http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u31/Ratser/Bike/DSC00144.jpg
  7. Have the Sinister one of these, bought in 2008. Rubber along the bottom now coming away, and mouth vent has snapped off. This has not been from misuse either, and it has not been dropped or banged. Also the little lever for visor changing completely loosened off on one side and cannot be tightened. Very disappointed as otherwise it is a cracking lid, and wasn't cheap. Was planning on getting a new one anyway, as my current one is signed by Hutchy.
  8. Will be there on the 19th, and staying overnight somewhere.
  9. I think we are going to this as well. Meeting a couple of other guys, one from London and the other from Hull down there. Will be there for the Saturday I think. Not sure as it is not me organising. Was meant to go last year too but had a gig on the Saturday night.
  10. Couple of other ones. http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u31/Ratser/Keswick%20TMBF/IMGP1086.jpg http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u31/Ratser/Keswick%20TMBF/IMGP1087.jpg http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u31/Ratser/Keswick%20TMBF/IMGP1084.jpg http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u31/Ratser/Keswick%20TMBF/IMGP1083.jpg http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u31/Ratser/Keswick%20TMBF/IMGP1076.jpg http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u31/Ratser/Keswick%20TMBF/IMGP1073.jpg

  13. From my phone. The rest, with people in them, are on my camera at home. http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u31/Ratser/Keswick%20TMBF/19082011513.jpg From Hartside Cafe. http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u31/Ratser/Keswick%20TMBF/20082011514.jpg From somewhere else looking towards Windermere. http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u31/Ratser/Keswick%20TMBF/20082011515.jpg
  14. Awe you are making me jealous mate. Can't wait until June next year and our 8 day stay. Quarry Bends, Glen Helen, Mountain section are all my favourite bits. But just love tanking it round Windy Corner. Glad you had a crackin' time.
  15. Sounds like something MP would do... no risk of him seeing this for another week or so... he has still not got home. Be quicker by train.
  16. Did he take some of the inside of your tent or something ?
  17. Oh aye, I look forward to seeing them MP.
  18. Great time, thanks to Trish and Gareth for the organisation. Great wee place. And fantastic to eventually meet all of you. You are all nuts. TC (aka Snorey), loved going to the Hartside cafe, what a road that is. Pity about the rain at night time, however it didn't dampen a great time with great folks. And sorry I missed Martin and Rachel this morning too. Thanks again.
  19. Your welcome mate. Hope you get sorted and have a great time.
  20. Looking forward to it, and to meeting everyone, and appreciate all your organising mate.
  21. Hey mate. There are far better locations than the Grandstand to view. Cronk-Y-Voddy, bottom of Barrgarrow, anywhere up on the mountain, Cregg, and many many more. Each race has it's moments, although the two superbike races are the main attractions, especially the senior on the final day. You can walk round the garages when there are no races on, and usually a lot of the riders are there for photos, autographs etc. We had Grandstand tickets this year for the supersport 2 race, and while it was great seeing the starts and presentation and pit stops, it wasn't the best viewing in my opinion. Not sure on availability of Granstand tickets normally, as we acquired them free due to cancellation of the first run from a friend of a friend. Also we stay at a campsite, at Quarterbridge near Douglas centre. Have done for the past 3 years. Getting B&B's and hotels can be very difficult. Although there are probably better campsites all over the island, even up by the Grandstand. Hope that helps a bit, and maybe see you there next year. Edit to add: Peel is a lovely wee place if you can get accomodation there, or Ramsay too. Douglas was absolutley dead this year despite Bushys beer tent and stunt riders down the front. We have threatened to try Peel and Ramsay as well.
  22. I'll be in my bed by the time you lot get there I'm meeting Revs on the way, just not sure what time yet, hence the question.
  23. Yeah the credit card is the same bank, I called the credit card line yesterday and checked that I can use it as a debit card eg pay it off as soon as I've used it and I can (for a while there you had to wait til your bill was actually due with my bank) so shouldn't need to increase my limit. I found out pretty quickly that every time I was using my debit card I was being charged £1.25 + a % fee, so I've just been taking out a few hundreed dollars everytime I need money and paying cash for everything so I'm only having to pay the fees once. Fees on my credit card are a bit higher, but using it this way means it shouldn't make too much difference. The bigger of the two fraudulent transactions was showing on my account last night (£888.71 to a jewellery shop in india), felt a mix of sick and raging. *boak* RBS text this morning to say the money is being refunded today though Glad you got it sorted, well kind of sorted. Hope it doesn't stop your enjoyment of your holiday.
  24. So what time are other folk planning on getting there ?
