  2. Ah would be good to meet you at last Gary.
  3. Ratser

    optimate

I have had mine for 4 years and used it once.
  4. Hopefully I can meet up with you along the way mate at some stage.
  5. Will be there on the Saturday, along with Revs (most likely). Doubt will be on the bike, as there are a few things I want to get.
  6. I do a Borders run every weekend Sadly not always on the bike. So if you see a black 4x4 with a Simoncelli memorial sticker on it, then that is me.
  7. Tried a few on the other day. HJC was NOT a comfy lid. Nolan N85 was comfy until you did the ratchet chinstrap up and then it dug into my chin. AGV Stealth was a very comfy one, and smart designs too.
  8. Have seen these the last 3 years at the Isle of Man TT, and every year they get and look better and also get faster. Rutter rode the winner last year there on what looked like a Ducati.
  9. Honestly can't remember mate. May have been slightly more than that, will check tonight as I will still have the receipt somewhere.
  10. Think you need an update lady
  11. Was about £300 odd quid, and the guy fitted it for nowt when it went in for it's service.
  12. And some pics. http://img821.imageshack.us/img821/788/dsc0023fk.jpg http://img593.imageshack.us/img593/6339/dsc0024ls.jpg http://img204.imageshack.us/img204/5993/dsc0025zw.jpg http://img694.imageshack.us/img694/9779/dsc0029mkg.jpg http://img856.imageshack.us/img856/9765/dsc0030epw.jpg http://img690.imageshack.us/img690/3859/dsc0031pf.jpg http://img42.imageshack.us/img42/3720/dsc0036qq.jpg http://img543.imageshack.us/img543/9228/dsc0037ww.jpg http://img14.imageshack.us/img14/2155/dsc0026vs.jpg http://img85.imageshack.us/img85/7443/dsc0033jt.jpg
  13. Was there on Saturday too Bumble, but didn't see you. That Ducati 1199 looks nice from one side and from the other it's a bit Aprilia Dorsoduro Royal Enfield Norton Commando GSXR 1000, compared to the other 1000cc sports bikes, this has to be the most basic looking of the lot. And the J&S stand, having all Arai and Shoei lids for £100, despite what the ticket said. Pity they didn't have the one I was looking for. And then a night out in Birmingham. My head hurt after that.
  14. Will definitely be there tomorrow.
  15. I would, but it's a bit far to go for a mince pie. Especially on the bike. Although if I got the other one that I am looking for, well, ye never know. I don't do Christmas cards though.
  16. Same here. Need to get a new lid, so hoping for a bargain.
  17. That is the biking gods punishing you for getting rid of the skulls.
  18. I'll look out for you Bumble.
  19. Keep the skulls, keep the skulls.
  20. Nice wee spin yesterday http://img839.imageshack.us/img839/5531/dsc0012ur.jpg
  21. RIP and ciao Super Sic
  22. Have both. Use car mostly, unfortunately. Looking for another bike too, but keeping the one I have.
  23. What model was it ? 2010 and in black and white. When did you buy it and how much did it cost ? Purchased in 2010, £12,500 Good points ? Given my natural progression this was the very obvious next step. The ultimate sports bike. Given that it was fully kitted out with the full Yoshi exhaust, engine protection, bar ends, alarm and tail tidy just made it look pretty awesome. On the road, well, the thing flies. Though I have been quite restrained with it for the most part. The accelaration is awesome, the noise is incredible, the handling is superb especially on the twisties, the range is pretty similar to the 600RR but you have to judge it on miles as this has no gauge. Not much storage either, especially when an alarm box is under the seat too. Slow speed has it a bit floppy, but get it through the revs with the standard quickshifter and you are off. This thing will wheelie in 4th gear. Bad points ? No storage for even a flimsy wee waterproof jacket. Though if the alarm box wasn't there it would have. Eh, thats it. Would you get another ? This was brand new. I don't think I would get rid of it or have another one unless to trade in for a newer model in a few years time. Any other comments ? To really see what it is like, you have to ride it. My mate who has had his 12 year old R1 since new had a shot. I have never seen his grin so wide. Even after he had a shot of a Desmo. That said it all for me. Now all I need is the ability to ride it like he did. http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u31/Ratser/Bike/29072011509.jpg http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u31/Ratser/Bike/01072011491.jpg
  24. Got £4,800 towards my blade as a trade in mate. It was immaculate though. They re-sold it for £5,400
  25. What model was it ? 2008 and in black with 600 miles on the clock. When did you buy it and how much did it cost ? Purchased in 2009, £5,300 Good points ? Jumped on this from the Hornet, and it was night and day. This thing screamed to go faster, keep revs high and tipped itself into corners. Very quick off the mark and took a lot to unsettle it. Even looks mean. Bad points ? Sports bike, so not the comfiest after a couple of hours. Would you get another ? Damn straight. Fantastic bike. I certainly couldn't have moved onto the Blade without having had this thing first. Any other comments ? Just such a great bike. Although I did change the exhaust system to an Akrapovic one which was mega loud. I actually miss this bike at times. Wish I never exchanged it. http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u31/Ratser/Bike/IMGP0734.jpg
