  1. your comment can end there.. nothing else needed.
  2. Noise camera being trialled in Paris. Camera triggered by excessive noise. identifies culprit. takes photo. and thats it. However, if the trial is successful.. they will be rolled out and fines will follow.
  3. Looks poised to perform acts of extreme dentistry... Sans anaesthesia (obviously)
  4. This blog post on the FEMA website from two years ago is relevant to this.... http://www.fema-online.eu/website/index.php/2018/07/09/sound/
  5. A 100 mile bimble.. most of the Rutland TT (anticlockwise) and various other bits.
  6. One thing Ive learnt in just over 18 months of modern Japanese bike ownership is that fixings are generally made of cheese.. and the japanese arent exactly renowned as cheese makers. So to avoid nigtmares going forward I tend to use a torque wrench a lot. is it currently my most used tool? Probably not, but its definitely the most vital. And i could care less about those who say.. "I never use a torque wrench. because I is an expert, innit.. and please ignore my huge collection of easy-outs. bro." I bought a new one and its a thing of beauty. Ive read far too many stories about unreliable Norbars. so that also rules out Halfords. And so.. as part of my bid to have absolutely nothing made in China.. once again Amazon and its daily deals came to the rescue. 125Nm never felt so good.
  7. Obviously nothing I could have done to my bike today can in anyway compare to that.
  8. I got a Bahco as it was on offer on Amazon. 390mm length. 1/2" drive So, a little over 15" in old money. And makes short work of the 100nm bolt on the rear wheel.
  9. I got a set from Amazon. They were on offer a couple of weeks ago, always worth checking.
  10. That's what you get for a 25 year warranty.
  11. Wera hex... lovely things.
  12. I just left the metal out the front of the house.. and this morning it was gone. a box of old and now redundant tools. some rusty. some broken.. now but a memory.
  13. The usual problem with them is the people that use them. They are designed to use a very clean burning fuel.. so normal petrol is no good as it produces far too much carbon. Though Coleman like selling spare parts so keep quiet about this. better (but still far from ideal) to use premium unleaded... which has carbon removing detergents added. or.. never use petrol at all.. use either coleman fuel. pure naptha based panel wipe. or aspen fuel. So far my own 11yr old coleman has never needed to be refurbed as its never seen petrol and since I moved from gas to induction cooking at home, the coleman gets used as and when I fancy a proper espresso. using my little stove top alessi that is too small to be recognised by the induction. So.. I'm using it almost weekly.
  14. Do you intend leaving the sat nav in its holder overnight? turned on. if you dont.. then its easiest and simplest to connect the mount direct to the battery. faffing around with splicing here and cutting there isn't necessary.. but it does depend on you remembering two things. either remove the sat nav when you park the bike for the night. or turn it off. My Zumo 660 just turned 10 years old and i have never managed to drain the battery.. by leaving it turned on. its a tough piece of kit though. its flown down the road at 60mph. been ridden over by a lardy but not exactly decrepit TRX850 and still works.. and is still fully supported by Garmin. splicing and dicing answers will likely follow.
  15. What are other owners saying about their experiences with their bikes made at the same time? I take it this is a common issue and not unique to you.
  16. [strikeout]pro tip.[/strikeout] when you are. in Town. watch your speed. near any tourist hot spot, where there is likely to be pedestrians/cyclists on the road, and a reduced speed limit. watch your speed. On the Autobahn where speed limits are signed.. usually around junctions or road works. watch your speed. why does this even need explaining [strikeout]I got a fine last year issued from Aachen. I wasnt concentrating. lesson learnt. €15.. which almost made me want to give up riding. I had to sell the dog. remortgage the house and sell a kidney.[/strikeout] by the way.. and im trying to be kind, in terms of germany what you have said makes zero sense. Pro tip? Well I guess even pros like you make mistakes. indeed. very nice of you to cross them out, but it doesn't change the fact of what happened.
  17. I have a Coleman dual... And I would buy one of these if they weren't such silly money. I have a whole list of tool porn in my Amazon wish list. I have some knipex bits arriving tomorrow. So.. Not for me, not this year.
  18. your tip is: never had a speeding ticket? excellent. Yeah if you don’t speed you won’t get one simple. awesome. i could read your comments all day.

  21. Im just curious as to why you would need to disconnect. why you actually need that part.
  22. What did you expect. Good sense? Anyone who lives within a 100 miles and knows what the place is like could have predicted this. And of course they did.. It's a gtreat excuse to be outraged. A bit of sun on a Sunday is all the reason herders and cliques need to demonstrate just how idiotic they are. There's been A weeklong campaign of promoting and justifying going there on Facebook. And as for the Churchill arms....their meets are in aid of the Air Ambulance. The irony of that is hysterical.
