  1. It is a joke. there.. that wasn't difficult, was it. a bit of silliness to lighten the mood while on lock down.
  2. Hadyn Road.
  3. My "well i never" is the road on which my dealership stands is the same road that the original Brough workshop stood.. and so every time i go there i think about how many times this man must have ridden up and down it (with a massive grin on his face) and how wonderful is this...
  4. On Pause.. this was just posted by the Grossglockner team. (translated) so.. just waiting for any announcement and watching the web cam. https://fuschertoerl.panomax.com there is at least one positive sign, Austria is making baby steps towards a relaxation of the lockdown. allowing more (non-essential) shops to open. I'm a long way.. 18 weeks (near enough) A long way from admitting defeat.
  5. 20 weeks. 140 days. Still quietly optimistic.
  6. I thought queueing to get into the Sainsbury was bad..
  7. Theres a direct correlation between hardest/most challenging and most dangerous. take your pick. (personally i would forget the M4)
  8. Yes......because we're about 2 weeks ahead of you. New deaths have now levelled off and dropping......but UK and US are still on the upward spiral. Every government has failed... some worse than others. They all looked at what china did and refused to act even though all the experts were telling them exactly what was coming. IN JANUARY. When the dust finally settles.. there needs to be a reckoning.
  9. Tough times ahead... This next month is going to be dreadful. All those people who caught the virus before the government finally decided to act will be getting sick and soon start dying. Unnecessarily.
  10. The oil mix is usually around 2% maybe slightly more than that, aside from some extra smoke it shouldn't be problematic. You can dilute it further as the machine runs if the smoke is too much to bear. Might be worthwhile giving it a dose of carb cleaner as and when you can.
  11. Le Mans... Postponed to September
  12. It may have been a problem once.. but any issues are rapidly being fixed. As technology advances these batteries are coming complete with hardware and software as standard that will ready the power flowing in both directions. so as far as the bike itself is concerned.. its just another 12v bike battery.
  13. mine lies on its back.. and is tiny. It is the OEM lithium mind.
  14. Theres not a huge amount of difference between a GEL and an AGM, aside from the AGM having fibreglass mats between the lead plates that are soaked in GEL. what this means is the lead plates are supported by the fibre glass mats and so can be thinner and made from a purer form of lead. so pure it needs the support or it would bend/deform when the bike goes over a bump. Purer lead means (effectively) more power. as well as a little weight loss.
  15. Buy a Motobatt MBYZ16HD AGM Battery Why? because they are just about the best and Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) batteries are completely leak proof, maintenance free, charged ready to fit straight out of the box. nb.. be sure to check that the part number is the right one for your specific year.. as you dont mention it and that is a best guess on my part.
  16. 22 weeks today... And I'm trying to remain optimistic. I'm not expecting "Business as usual" even by then... But, as long as the following conditions are met, we'll be going. 1. Tunnel is open 2. Borders are open and free travel allowed within eu. Or at least France,Germany,Austria. 3. UK gov says OK so travel insurance is valid. 4. Campsites are open. Still hoping to ride the Grossglockner.. Right now it's obviously still shut down for winter, even without the virus. But, I'll be keeping an eye on the live webcams, waiting for the glad day there is some sign of activity. https://edelweissspitze.panomax.com
  17. Weavers Wines in town have a bottle of 2012 Pomerol with my name on it. I'll have that if I'm spared the lager-lurgy. If I catch it and survive then I might raise the bar somewhat. (And buy a case)
  18. schuberth produce 2 versions of their modular helmets. With and without comms. The range without have the word "Basic" in the description. Only question is... Can a (for instance) Schuberth C3 Basic use 3rd party comms? Speak to a retailer once this current crisis is over and ask.
  19. Way I used to fix this on my GS was to stuff some paper towels into the petrol fill.. and then blow up the tube. That always cleared it and the paper towels would stop (whatever it was) getting inside the tank.
  20. Just to add to your misery.. the DFS sale is finally over. So.. you've missed out.
  21. I read the post and took it seriously and answered in the same manner. I just looked at the links. Waste of time.
  22. I am a keyworker so there's very little in the announcement that will negatively effect me. I get stopped by the police they see my staff card and wave me on my way. 3 weeks they say, who knows?
  23. Eastern beaver. Google and then message him. He lives in Japan hence "eastern" and is Canadian. Nothing listed for your specific bike but... You can try. He does mention canbus in his website. His stuff is very highly rated and worth the extra hassle of ordering from Japan. He's a firm favourite among Africa twin owners and others. Other than that try Towzatronics. He might be able to help you.
