  1. The bike outside Father Ted's house!
  2. My missus said she was wearing a slinky dress, so I pushed her down the stairs.... She was lying...
  3. I hate the f**cking posh tw*ts around London who have bought their Vespa's to get to work. They've hardly had any training and most ride on just a CBT cutting up anyone who happens to be using the road, car, motorbike or cyclist. Still haven't been able to keep up with some of the couriers but then I think they're just quite possibly insane!
  4. Was going to copy the link to put into the thread on the bike chat section. Just remember to take it easy and start at your own pace. You'll gather confidence the more you do it but try not to become cocky! If you want to learn quick, I recommend riding around London during rush hour! That's the way I done it!
  5. It's certainly picked up a bit since the last Ninja, Tony. We'll all have to go out at some point. Off on hols at the end of the week but maybe sometime in June... I'll post another thread with a weekend as they're a bit sparse for me at the moment!
  6. Is that the one that goes behind the Basingstoke canal from Mytchett towards Frimley? I lurve that road
  7. Ok, I'm definitely not going to be able to make this ride out. Off to Suffolk again on Friday night then will head to BMF on Sunday. May well go in the car if the panniers don't turn up for the motorbike. Frickin paypal doing stupid things....
  8. Think I'll probably head up to BMF. Need to pick up a few more bits for my Ireland trip at the end of the month. Hope the rideout goes well though if it goes ahead. If anyone does go to bmf drop me a line. Be more than happy to meet up for a coke!
  9. So, where to start... Don't really have much idea where we went from the Ace, hopefully Mark or Darren can fill everyone in on that! All I know is we ended up somewhere in the Chiltern hills and hertfordshire! Had a great time though. Here are some piccies!
  10. Sorry we didn't stop Stu. I did think about it, but by the time I'd thought, I was quite far up ahead! I think you must've been on the phone to breakdown as we came past (red bandit riding two up). Glad it didn't cause you to come off. I've heard the chain falling off can be pretty dangerous. I'd be giving the person that serviced the bike hell. Will post up pics in the rideout reports section.
  11. I know on another post I said I probably won't be able to come as I've got to go to my mums in Suffolk to pick up a replacement bank card but it looks like there's lots of people going and should be good. If the weather is all ok Sunday morning I'll make my way over. Mark I'll drop you a text message in the morning to confirm whether I'll be coming or not.
  12. Haha! I've used that one on people following too close! Slow down, make eye contact and just stare for a second or two! They soon back off!
  13. I tend to keep an eye out at junctions on the wheels of cars as it seems that sometimes you are invisible! As soon as those wheels start moving, even a touch, I'll roll off the throttle, move to the right hand side of the lane and cover the horn and the brake. I've only had one incident where I've actually had to slam on the anchors but if I hadn't been through that process I'm sure there would have more than likely been a collision.
  14. Ok, last message just to confirm everything is still going ahead. My number is in the contact section if you wish to come along give me a shout before 9am! If not, make your own way there and give me a shout. Hopefully the sugar from the candy floss won't have made me too hyper!
  15. Steve, give me a shout when you get there. My number is in the contacts section. Leave a message if I don't answer and I'll call you back. Hopefully the weather will stick
  16. Bump! If anyone else is interested the plan at the moment is to leave from gu14 6nh at around 9am on Monday. Will be travelling south of the m25 to avoid roadways. Currently 4 are confirmed with 3 more potentially. Should be a nice day by the beach!
  17. In the interests of saving some money does anyone know of any cheap givi stockists?
  18. Nice one! Congrats on passing and as everyone has said already, onto mod2!
  19. Could you not do your lessons on the weekend when you're not working (assuming you work a mon-fri week)?
  20. Yeah, I know it'll be crowded so usually find it best to get down a little early. If you get there before the main Ace bunch then it shouldn't be too bad.
  21. If anyone is interested but not sure what to expect here's last years report! http://www.themotorbikeforum.com/viewto ... ec#p545715
  22. Is anyone going along to this? Me and the missus will be. Unsure on route yet but probably won't be going from the Ace as don't like getting caught up in the crowd. Also like to find a parking space! If you're going, you're more than welcome to join me or just give me a call when you get there if you'd like to meet up.
  23. My missus has JTS gear and so far so good
  24. I've met plenty of people off the forum and don't think it's ever been awkward. We're all a friendly bunch. I would say, having organised a few rideouts that a time is set for everyone to get to the Ace by and everyone has the organisers tel number. Just give the organiser a call when you arrive to figure out where everyone is!
  25. Me and Nikki will be going up in July. I can't wait! The pictures look amazing!
