  1. Is that next to tentpeg? I'm sure your having a good time
  2. Mate gave me keys to his home brew supercharged hyabusa not long after passing my test, I didn't explode and the bike only went as fast as I made it
  3. No its not, logically and legally you have proven you are entitled to ride any bike. I had fast cars straight from passing my driving test, cost a fortune to insure and buy but I could so I did
  4. Is that a royal infield
  5. Happy birthday
  6. Really? I had no issue with speed in the mod 1 on a modern 125. The hazard avoidance is only a relatively small shuffle and the emergency stop should be progressive and smooth. @Dena 1961Are you taking lessons, a good instructor should be able to iron out those issues
  7. By the time you've done das you've been on a 125 a 600 or bigger and you've passed your test yup buy and ride what you want.
  8. Canada is great, it's like USA but with nicer folk, if you avoid the French twats
  9. Just to continue your inability to let it go yes
  10. Why is the fazer dreaded?
  11. Just be the owners
  12. How's the tree. Your only arguing with yourself, the rules are if you pass das you can ride what you want that's fine by me. Some one fancies a super Duke that's fine by me too, same as if they just want a 250 v strom I suggest if your so set against this you should campaign to have the rules changed. As for individuals having issues with throttle control, you won't find many bothering to post that they had a really boring ride, got home safe and managed to control hands and feet in a coordinated manner so successfully they didn't crash. If you can't control throttle I suggest not riding anything.
  13. Happy birthday
  14. @Davidtav What if they start of with a burgham 650, will they be OK or should they start with with a sym jet 50cc, what if the sym jet is not actually a jet?
  15. I think you should just go outside and start an argument with a tree about why it's growing and if it's indeed growing correctly. You've asked questions and obviously don't like the answers Learner schools pick bikes on a budget that are light, nimble and naked because they get dropped.
  16. Is that good or bad
  17. Codes https://www.gov.uk/driving-licence-codes Categories https://www.gov.uk/driving-licence-categories It's more than not exceeding? Category A You can drive: motorbikes with a power output more than 35kW or a power to weight ratio more than 0.2kW/kg motor tricycles with a power output more than 15kW You can also drive motorbikes in categories A1 and A2.
  18. A is any bike, the 70 is transfer from original license, nothing confusing.
  19. It won't matter what the weather is like, if your riding in the lake your getting wet
  20. Welcome @Paul Tallant Last post on here was a long long time ago, there are a few of us oop North but I'm currently house renovating
  21. I went from 125 to 600 no problem same as everyone else on the das, it was easier to ride, smoother and better low speed balance, my own 125 felt crap in comparison
  22. Learner died up here on a 600 by presumably pulling back on the throttle and accidentally launching himself down a street into a tree. An Everton supporter died on MOD1 at a test center by accidentally accelerating into the perimeter fence. It can happen on any size bike, it's the top end speed and acceleration after 90 that changes with ltr bikes. Plenty of 600 will keep up with bigger bikes till your in a straight line and doing silly speeds.
