  1. Nope! Got them on mine and still need heated gloves ..... Useful on an enduro bike though for protecting your hands from undergrowth
  2. 160 parking spaces with 30 ground anchors ..... That math doesn't really equate! ...... I agree with Bender f--- Em! Go elsewhere.
  3. Only ever been a couple of times but it used to be brilliant .... Not sure about the new dedicated parking area, I've heard from other bikers that it isn't good! However, I've never used it so don't know https://www.visordown.com/news/general/motorcycles-be-banned-street-parking-stratford?amp&fbclid=IwAR3y5aPf3vDV3EPkwdrEmjlEncMcRLUkSG2Mwnx7figN9-x4gVUZZPQRZdk
  4. I'm with Ray, SENA or Cardo, both good intercom systems. I personally use Sena and have never had any issues.
  5. I’ve got one of these …. Does the job https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/203789
  6. I was sent this link, a more motorcycle oriented version of the Litelock, all out of stock at present though .... https://www.litelok.com/products/litelok-core-moto?variant=41306600702121
  7. Totally agree with what you say about IAM and ROSPA. Yes, you do meet some real self righteous t------s! They're both really good routes for continuing your rider education though. I've never been one for sitting on the laurels of a driving test I did years ago, things change and I like to challenge myself. I've done both of them, courses on road and off. The most challenging one day course I did was a slow manoeuvring skills course, real confidence builder. Each to their own though, I don't think having done those courses makes me any better than the Joe sat next to me at the traffic lights. I think the courses just keep your skills fresh and the brain active.
  8. Same as me ..... But I do believe Ducati riders have their own individual way of greeting one another?
  9. You'll love it mate, first time is always the best! The same as everywhere else though, 20mph zones springing up all over the place, and a lot of the really good spectator areas have now been zoned off .... H&S gone mad! Always expect the unexpected out on the roads and you'll be ok, I've had a couple of hairy moments over the years, mainly riders on the wrong side of the road
  10. Well .... That me ready for the new Highway Code rules!
  11. Size matters!
  12. I'm the same as you, nod to everyone, TT fortnight is a nightmare I've never had an ADV bike rider not nod, or nod back, the one's I find that rarely respond are the scooter jocks ..... Maybe it's because they're so shocked that someone is actually acknowledging them on the road
  13. Yep, you're like me, nod or wave to pretty much most folk .... Even been known to stop and help an elderly couple out that broke down on the A591, all good for biker P/R. The only time I ever came across clique snobbery was when I went diving in Plymouth a few years ago, I was PADI trained and most of the others were BSAC, I'd said I'd never go again, all you could hear were jibes about PADI trained divers and vice versa, and it was getting to the point between two of them where things were getting serious, I thought it was going to come to fisty cuffs! It was pathetic. Never thought anything like that existed amongst bikers though?
  14. Just a thought and I wonder has anyone else experienced this …. My mate has been here for a long weekend on his new bike, BMW 1250 GSA. Absolutely stunning bike, I even had a turn on it, great bike to ride, comfortable, bags of torque. This guy has been riding bikes for years, he’s even raced, short circuit stuff, plus Southern 100 and MGP, far more biking experience than some of the Jonathan Rea wannabes we have racing over the mountain at weekends here. Anyway, in conversation he said the one thing he’s noticed since getting his new beamer, is a lot of other bikers no longer seem to acknowledge him (wave / nod), unlike when he was riding is ZZR. He nods to all bikers in passing but said most just look at him as though he's just arrived from Mars . It doesn’t bother him; he actually finds it quite amusing. I had heard something like this before but thought it was urban myth. The biking world I was brought up in, it didn’t matter what you rode. I always nod to passing bikers, I even nod to scooter jocks and Harley riders “although Harley riders just tend to look and scowl” . However, is there now some sort of hierarchy / snobbery on two wheels that I’ve never heard of? Or are we still a brotherhood who will never leave one of our own stuck at the side of the road? That’s the biking code I was brought up with and still live by, but have things changed amongst bikers? Are some bikers now becoming more insular with the focus moving away from "why we ride" . Just a wee bit of Sunday morning pondering, along with the meaning of life and all that sh--e! And I was Just wondering what other people think?

    Dented rim

You can get it repaired, somewhere like the place detailed below, or if you have somewhere locally. Dealer can usually advise. As linuxrob said, get a photo and location of the pothole, contact the local council offices responsible for roads in that area, you can submit a claim. Not always successful but worth a try https://www.fawheels.co.uk/services/motorbike-wheels-refurbishment
  16. Use green slime or carry a spare tube …. Easy enough job on an off roader though. I’ve never done it on anything bigger than a 350cc Enduro
  17. My thoughts exactly!
  18. So we have to pass cyclists and horse riders by 2m. A lot of narrow country lanes on this island where that is totally impossible. Secondly, just a thought, what if you're driving towards cyclists who are approaching in the opposite direction, you're unable to pass in the opposite direction giving the stipulated 2m clearance so are we now expected to, when approaching in the opposite direction, to come to a stop, pay homage and allow them to pass??
  19. It's good stuff, a bit of a faff to put on and clean off but the end result is brilliant
  20. Yes you're right, they're improving Marshall's training as well which IMHO isn't a bad thing. Things like basic first aid, incident management now all forms part of a one day course.
  21. I use this stuff, bought it of fleabay. Not cheap but it's absolutely brilliant. I take my time with it, give the wheels a good clean, I find I only have to use it occasionally, the rest of the time I just wash the wheels in soap and warm water and the muck just rolls of them.
  22. I clean most of the brushes in hot water and use washing up liquid, my chain brush I clean in paraffin, and then, if necessary, washing up liquid again and rinse off.
  23. Done
