  1. Tune in frequently for further tips on how to assist people with anxiety problems
  2. Happy Birthday
  3. They were doing the same at Glen Lough camp site, not sure if that still happens though as he now puts up tents for visiting bikers although I did see one or two people in their own tents there yesterday. These are the most famous wild campers for TT, been in the same place for years down at the Dhoon Glen
  4. Thanks very much for that, I was just looking on my route app. Yes, I do have what three words, if you could let me have the location for that app it would be really appreciated, thanks.
  5. Belated Happy Birthday .... Been away in Cumbria enjoying the Cumbrian wet weather as oppose to Manx
  6. End of an Era!
  7. Just a heads up for anyone who may have purchased these https://www.bennetts.co.uk/bikesocial/news-and-views/news/2022/may/alpinestars-gloves-recall-chromium-vi?fbclid=IwAR0BQpwW5Pzs1CiAhC3Go8ylBIA1a0aZzjA8Re7uI0nb49px3doonQ1Ax2o
  8. Thanks, that would probably be useful, I've found a couple of spots but they seem few and far between, I don't want to fall foul of local restrictions that could potentially ruin things for other people
  9. I always do, like you, I hate people who f--k things up for everyone else and get bikers a bad name
  10. Yes, used a Kaoko throttle lock once on an older Firestorm that I briefly owned, easy to fit, reliable, easy to use and does exactly what you want it to do. I didn't have the bike long enough to give a long term review but it seemed ok .... Throttle lock certainly lasted longer than the bike!
  11. I agree with what Mike says, make a short list and test the life out of what you come up with. Most dealers are happy to let you take them out for a good run. You may struggle a bit with an adventure bike, they're pretty tall, even when lowered. The Triumph 900 is a great bike, I did test ride one. For me, I found it a little top heavy, in stock form it's also pretty tall, not sure what it's like lowered. Have you considered the Tracer? Capable bike, nice low centre of gravity, forgiving and manoeuvrable. My big gripe with the Tracer is the suspension, it just depends though on how much weight you intend to load it with? I upgraded the suspension for Nitron, it definitely gave an improved ride but it still isn't perfect.
  12. What could possibly go wrong ....
  13. Belated …. Better late than never
  14. I must admit I nod or wave to all bikers, moped riders as well, ….. TT week I feel like Churchill the nodding dog
  15. I get what you're saying here and it's very true ...... What I've never understood among some riders, is why it matters so much what other people ride? Thats what I love about motorcycling, it's diverse and individualistic, but as far as I'm concerned we all share one common love .... Motorbikes! My mate who was over recently bought a BMW GS1250, he's been biking all his life, I had a blast on it and it's an absolutely fabulous bike to ride. The one thing he said though, since buying it, was that he noticed a lot of bikers never nod back anymore, , he has my attitude though, he says when they don't nod, he just thinks "cock" and rides on with a smile on his face
  16. Yes, I just read about that this morning, IOM TT page needs updating! I would love to have seen him race the Panigale as well .... https://www.newsletter.co.uk/sport/motorcycling/michael-dunlop-pbm-ducati-deal-for-isle-of-man-tt-is-off-3666246
  17. As Gerontious said, it’s unlikely. However, if they pull you for another misdemeanour then they’ll probably pick up on the visor as well. They carry a device called Tintman to see how much light the visor lets in, and check its legality. If you’re daft enough to wear one in bad weather or at night then I’d probably expect a pull, other than that I wouldn’t worry. I was actually told sun glasses were illegal, not sure if it’s true, but I even see plod driving with sunnies on.
  18. I didn't know about having to complete this form. I just had it forwarded to me by a mate who's planning a trip away. Just a heads up for anyone else who maybe planning a trip to any of the countries listed https://app.euplf.eu/?fbclid=IwAR2X20_U-4wR2Z2DNH5hXj1JUBPtklMu9cGPqK1sxuIFK9dRwi9j-U9ofyo#/
  19. I have a flip front helmet I use when touring, I usually just pop the front up when at a filling station and have never had any problems. I was only ever asked to remove my crash helmet once, it was a small country filling station in the Lake District. Young girl serving was very apologetic and stated it was so the CCTV could get a clear image of persons as they had, in her words, "a couple of incidents". I was actually fine with it, only takes a couple of seconds to remove the helmet ...... I had a bit of a joke with her and said, with the helmet off she could better appreciate my natural beauty anyway
  20. I'm definitely with you on that one
  21. +1 here for Klim ..... Guy in our local group is quite a big chap, he wears Klim and it seems to fit ok .... It aint cheap though!
  22. Happy Birthday, all the best
  23. I still use mine and still find them 1st rate. I did find, when I first started using them, that there was a bit of a nack getting them to sit right inside the ear canal. I found that pulling the ear up from the top while inserting the plug worked for me, can be a bit of a faff, but I'm not deaf yet so they must work ok.
  24. Ady Smith does the one day KTM enduro experience in Bristol if that's any use? I did the one day experience with him in North Wales and it was absolutely brilliant. Great selection of bikes, all kit provided and 1st rate instruction .... Never fallen of a bike so much in all my life but it was a good learning experience and great fun.
