  1. I do like the Kawasaki green, I'd be tempted to get one just for the colour.
  2. Definitely do the DAS. You won’t regret it. It gives you a lot more options.
  3. It’s the snowflake generation.
  4. You wouldn't want to be filtering with those on.
  5. the roads around here are covered in grit, often piled up in the middle of the carriageway to catch you out as you are moving from one side to the other going round subsequent left and right hand bends.
  6. hope you get it sorted soon. That is what breakdown cover is for.
  7. Sounds like a dodgy connection on the kill switch. Or the side stand switch.
  8. When I got back into riding last year I used: http://www.msmmotorcycletraining.co.uk/ but they were rather basic and didn't seem to offer more advanced courses. A google search comes up with: http://www.innercircletraining.co.uk/ in Stockport. I was thinking I might give them a call when the weather gets a bit better for some more advanced riding training myself. I need to check what sort of comms they are using as I had real problems hearing the guys at MSM as the ear piece seems to only fit on the left ear and that is not my good ear for hearing (a misspent youth running discos has sorted that out).
  9. In that case make sure all documents tie up with bike and owner. Check Vin and engine number are the ones on the V5, check service records, mot etc. A well looked after bike should be obvious, regular oil changes etc. and the paper trail to back it up. Take dip stick out and feel the oil between your figures, is it smooth or gritty. Check brake pads have plenty of wear left on them. Get the owner to tell you about their experience with the bike, how long owned, from new? etc. etc. Hope it is as you expect. Edit: just realised you were going today so maybe this is too late. Did you get it?
  10. Even if you can't ride it on the road you should still be able to sit on it, check for fit, and turn it on and listen to the noise it makes, run it up and down the gears etc. Are you buying from a dealer or privately? I bought my Tiger 800 without riding it from a dealer (Hunts in Manchester) and it has been brilliant, except came with only one key. Got two more from Triumph easily enough.
  11. I have that problem with my cars
  12. did you bring it to their attention as part of the service? If so then previous comment stands. It sounds like a fuelling issue. Has it been left idle for a while?
  13. I'd take it back to whoever serviced it first, before you start to mess with anything.
  14. I can recommend the Barkbusters, I put them on my Tiger 800 as the factory fitted ones are just plastic and not very substantial at all.
  15. Time for H&S to pay a visit. There is no excuse to not use protective gear.
  16. Entry for the worst photo on the planet competition. Hope you are OK though.
  17. Shame you can’t spell.
  18. I've got to get me one of those.
  19. Isn't that the my engine is going to explode and cause a nuclear holocaust in ten minutes warning light?

    Low sun

Yikes, if it isn't gravel all over the road it is sun in your eyes. Ride safe people.
  21. I was doing about 150 when I did an emergency stop. Oh are we talking about the MOD2 test? That was over 20 years ago, haven't a clue.
  22. That reminds me of a joke I heard a while back. What do you call 5 dogs with no balls. The Spice Girls
